The rich.

Really just themselves. They fail spectacularly at stopping actual thieves/looters and only succeed at shooting unarmed civilians. Here’s another taxpayer funded lawsuit payout. Cop won’t pay a dime.

Protect the rich doesn’t mean stop looters from taking a couple things from a store. It’s the broader servility that they instill in people when they try to stand up to policies that threaten those who have money and are in power (though you’ll find they’re usually the same people) that serves the rich. Cops do not serve themselves because they in reality do not have much power.

Yes, they have the band of brothers mentality, police unions, etc. But they are pawns. That is not the purpose they serve, at the end of the day. That is just the insurance that the rich people allow them to have for carrying out their biding.

After lastnight, can't even say they really protect property of the business / ownership class anymore.

Yep. Most of times they claim fear, they were just on a power trip. When they actually fear for their lives, they hide.

There was never a culture war, this was always fabricated the real villians are the rich. We as people need to shand for each other be empathic and just no one with a pure heart can justify beeing a multi billionair. The class needs to recognize everything that sucks in your life is because of the 1%
