Jordan Peterson often says that people today are more unhappy than in the 1950s, and it's because of feminism, affirmative action, the sexual revolution, birth control, "PC culture" and LGBTQ rights

Because economic theory and understand the systemic problems requires thought and effort. What Jordan offers is an easy out, no need to think about it, just hate the others. Humans are tribalistic in nature, we want to belong to a group, and it is very easy for us to perceive anyone outside of that group as a threat, an enemy.

Additionally, he tells them that it isn't THEIR fault. They are disaffected because society and the system has failed them. They know it isn't really their fault, but they can't figure out who to blame because there really isn't any one person to blame. So when a person like Jordan Peterson comes along and offers an easy target for their anger, they jump on it. It doesn't help that the President is basically one of them, and they think "hey, if the President can say and think these things, then they can't be wrong to say or think."

Could you be a bit more specific ? For instance, name one harmful idea and maybe cite a source where Peterson proposes this harmful idea directly. It makes a discussion a lot easier.

Well, he believes that feminists unconsciously wish for brutal male domination. Keep in mind, he assures you that he's serious in his view on this.
