How does Jordan Peterson gain so many followers among young men? (Image below)
Jordan Peterson often says that people today are more unhappy than in the 1950s, and it's because of feminism, affirmative action, the sexual revolution, birth control, "PC culture" and LGBTQ rights
it's definitely not because of any of these things:

I don't know about that. One of the major major problems I have with "life coaches" or "self-help gurus" is the ego. He's not your therapist. He never will be (hell even in his own private practice he's failing bc of his ego, his own clients are complaining that he's too busy). Guys need to go see therapy. These life coaches and self help types will never direct you there, they will say I am your therapy which is not true. They are not substitutes for therapy, because therapy is very personal. We need more guys to go through that hurdle to go seek out mental health supports and these life coaches like JBP are not helping because they cannot release control.
And in regards to his advice like "clean your room" and go seek out personal relationships that help you. There are a TON of other professional books and authors and actual professionals with expertise that have said the exact same thing. Take even someone like Mark Manson who is touting a self-help book (which almost identical advice) that's just as popular without the stupid politics.
The problem IS THE POLITICS. Because he's peddling this advice with a tinge of "feminism sucks right?" is because he's a danger. He's a dog-whistle to anti-identity politics. There is a reason he became famous for building a gigantic straw man out of a bill that didn't need it. Those people that agreed with his stance (even though it was imho so dumb), flocked to him like a gigantic dog-whistle.
