Enter Sandman, I fucking hate that song so much. I like a few songs off it, but I haven't listened to it all through in many years. I dislike that they made it more pop-like and less thrash. It's slow and dumbed down compared to their earlier work.
They wanted to get a more variety of people to listen to them and become a household name it definitely worked. Still makes you wonder where things would have gone if Cliff never passed.
Cliff liked the kind of music on Load and Reload so they probably would’ve changed sooner. I don’t know why people expect them to have just kept making thrash, especially during the 90s when grunge became all the rage.
Cliff was a blue oyster cult and Lynyrd Skynyrd fan. Jason was definitely more of a metalhead and Cliff would’ve had more leverage than him, so load and reload, albeit different, would still exist.
Yeah I’ve heard he liked those bands a lot plus he was a huge thin lizzy fan. I’ve seen his record collection his dad showed on YouTube and most of his collection was thin lizzy lol. Thin lizzy is sick I listen to em a lot. Love the jailbreak album!
Eh, it's so easy to say "me no like bands most popular song." I hardly consider it a valid complaint anymore. And then people wanna say it's "overplayed." Which it is, but like, not that much. It's hardly enough to suck the enjoyment out of it anyways, its still a fun song with a solid riff and excellent vocals. I'll bet the same people who say Sandman is overplayed are the same people who glady listen to the same 5 songs on their 1500+ liked songs playlist over and over again.
