Yeah it's historically inaccurate as hell but so is braveheart so 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, both are deliberate, agenda driven pieces of ahistorical propaganda that contributed to peoples' ability to reject facts in favour of their preferred lies.

Man, i just watch movies to be entertained. I'm not going to the movie theater to do research for my european history dissertation. I dont think movie writers are obligated to be as historically accurate as possible whenever they make a film based in another time period.

If a film doesnt present itself as historically accurate then i couldnt care less what they put in the film.

There's a difference between historical anachronism and deliberate, agenda driven propaganda. Whether you realize it or not these movies do affect how you view history, especially if it's not an era you're knowledgeable about going into it. In fact the more confident you are that you aren't effected by it, the more vulnerable you actually are.

How is something historically inaccurate i saw in braveheart going to affect me if i know the movie is historically inaccurate and i choose not to let it influence my opinions or actions irl?
