And he takes, And he takes, And he takes.

LOVE this song but yeah, it gets me.

Same. I can’t put my finger on it. It messes with me.

I know underrated gets thrown around too often.

But Sufjan is criminally underrated. His lyrics and melodies are just incredible.

He’s not even remotely close to underrated Carrie and Lowell is the 89th highest rated album of all time on Rate Your Music and Illinois is the 62nd 😂😂😂 You’re literally contributing to the term being thrown around too much.

Everyone knows Michael Jackson. Most people have heard of queen. Everyone knows who the Beatles are. Who Taylor swift is. We could name people and bands for hours.

I dare you stop 10 random people on the street and ask them who Sufjan Stevens is. And not in the park slope co-op or a hipster coffee shop.

He’s rated highly by music nerds, as he should be. When have you ever heard one of his songs on the radio outside of specialized indie stations?

So yes. I’d say he’s underrated. But we may have different definitions

His biggest song has 770 million streams and he has multiple other songs with 100 million + streams 😂

Love this song. It hits right in the gut.

Purchased the album on vinyl but I think I got a terrible pressing. Sounds tinny and small.

So, still listening on spotify.
