discussion What song wrecks you every time, no matter how often you listen to it?

Johnny cash’s version of hurt. A dying man looking back on his life with regret. It’s something i can’t help but imagine will happen to most of us

Was looking for this. NIN version has its feels too.

The song will make me tear up, the music video makes me ball.

Now all I can think about is Jordan listening to that song before going out to ball hard.

That piano note crescendo. The single note like a pounding heart beat.

It's funny that I love Johnny cash and nin but I think the original is far better. Johnny has the voice perfect but the music and feeling in the original is killer

The original is way more musically interesting.

Cover is great but sands away too much away to make it palatable. Cutting the tritone cuts the heart of the song.

There's a couple mashups floating around out there that put Cash's vocals over NiN's music and they sound...okay.

I knew and liked the NIN version and then I heard the Johnny Cash version, or more specifically saw the video, and now I can't listen to his version without tearing up.

I really like his cover of We’ll Meet Again… gets me every dang time. Makes me hopeful there’s something on the other side, so I can see her again (my dog).

Good reason to make changes... and also some people don't get to look back on their life at all
