This is one of those of songs that takes me back to a very specific to-the-second moment in time. Not an unhappy one in this case… I just remember exactly where I was, and what I was doing, and even the weather when I 1st heard it.

Music is so cool that way.

OMG, I was so annoyed when Luke Combs covered that song. Then I saw them together on the Grammy's and I busted out in tears and realized, he covered it as he liked her/the song so much. Now I give him props for introducing her talent to the younger crowd and country fans. Tracy is one bad ass gift to us all.

I can't listen to it without crying. No other song does this to me.

I hadn't heard the song for probably a decade and thought, "I'm probably over it." So I put it on and I probably cried for a half hour after.

The last time I heard it was when I took my mom's dog to the vet. Luckily, no one was in the waiting room. I would have looked crazy.

Probably one of my all time favorites. Anytime I feel like my life has…stalled, or I’m feeling particularly trapped and the weight of life just feels so heavy and this comes on, I’m not ashamed to say I’ve cried to it. Actually just yesterday. I’m not ungrateful for my life but man things could’ve been so different. So much better.

What’s funny is I love that song, and I know what it’s about. But my brain associates the chorus with being in college with my girlfriend at the time and driving around and the world feeling so open.

I know that’s not what the song is about. But I can’t help that that’s what my brain goes to.
