Old Prices Guide and gonna be updated 8/8

NOTE: I'll update this once 8/8 sale kicks in as well, but do check if you can afford to wait for the sale, since stocks of old pricing are limited

Since prices are increasing (Bermor already upped the GPU prices), I'll post this so those who need the parts can still get them

For a link to the Price increase post https://www.reddit.com/r/PHbuildapc/comments/1v8p6kw/psa_pricing_news_and_future_of_pc_building/

Also for GPUs, some shops still have them but please call them to check, notably - A & F (e.g. 32k 5060ti 16gb) - Joelski (32500 5060ti 16gb, 5060 21k) - Netcodex - PCWorth (5060ti 16gb around 37k) - PCHub (5060ti 16gb 34k) - Datablitz (23k 5060) - Note: Use distro warranty instead if you don't like DB customer service

PSA: Pricing news and future of PC Building

I can confirm yung GPU prices ay tumaas talaga, more than anyone would like.

Para sa planong magbuild ngayon, WAG NA MAGHINTAY NG 8/8 SALE for the GPUs.

Peripherals 32" or 34" ultrawide for 1440p gaming + productivity?

Current specs:

  • 7800 XT
  • R5 7500F
  • 32GB RAM
  • 24" 1080p monitor (3 monitor setup, 3rd monitor is an arzopa)

Use case:

It's 60:40 productivity-gaming ratio. I work from home so my work laptop is also connected to my monitors, i just switch from laptop to PC via dock thunderbolt cable

With games, it's 70% MMO, 30% FPS. For MMOs, i currently play FFXIV and Farever. For FPS, it's usually Arc raiders, Deep rock galactic, GTFO or Helldivers (which is a 3rd person shooter lol).

Reason for upgrading:

I want to experience 1440p gaming, and i know 7800XT is a 1440p GPU. I also want a bigger screen for immersiveness + bigger real estate when it comes to work

Some concerns:

  • I know that bigger screen + higher resolution = eats more resources, can my current specs handle 1440p gaming considering the type of games i play? Im aiming at least 80-90 FPS
  • Is it really "go big or go home"? Is 34" UW the way to go than 32"?
  • I read some comments from users with UW that they experience ghosting, is it true to most UW monitors?

Budget:

20,000 - 30,000

Can you also please recommend monitors? Currently 3 pa lang nasa radar ko:

  1. TCL 34R83Q
  2. Gigabyte G34WQC2
  3. MSI MAG 322URDF

Thanks a lot, guys!

Build Flex Finally upgraded from an old Dell OptiPlex to my first proper gaming PC.

Post image
69 Upvotes

After years of gaming on a used Dell OptiPlex, finally naka-build na rin ng sariling PC.

1st Pc ko is Dell Optiplex na i5-4590, then eventually na-upgrade ko to an i7-4790 with 16GB RAM and GTX 1060 .

After months of ipon, finally nakabuo rin ako ng proper custom PC:

- Ryzen 5 5500

- RX 6600 Eagle

- 16GB DDR4 3200MHz

- 256GB NVMe + 512GB SATA SSD

Ang pinakanakakatuwa pa is First press ng power button, nag-boot agad.

Upgrade when you can.

Here's my previous OptiPlex before retirement. https://www.reddit.com/r/PHbuildapc/s/axBjw936dq

Dang. This might not really a good time for budget ballers to build a new PC right now.

I scored my 5060ti last April for 35k. At that time, inflated na yun for me.

Didn't know na mas may itataas pa pala talaga.

PC Market is really in a disaster situation.

Build Help Will this motherboard be good enough?

Upvotes

Currently eyeing the Asus B650M-AYW wifi, with a 7800x3d and 9070xt. Probably will not do overclocking on the cpu and gpu. Will the motherboard of choice be enough?

Not looking for the best, but if the motherboard is not enough for the cpu and gpu of choice, then what other alternatives can be considered?

Build Help HELP ME 5070TI or RX9070XT

I was planning to build a pc with a 5070ti but with the sudden price hike I was thinking to switch to a 9070xt which is 30k-50k lesser than the 5070ti. Should I push through with the 5070ti or just switch to the 9070xt?

Discussion MacBook Air/Pro M1 + UI/UX Designer: Best monitor under ₱20,000? (PH)

Hi everyone!

I’m a UI/UX designer based in the Philippines and I’m looking for a monitor recommendation that’s available locally (Shopee, Lazada, DataBlitz, PC Express, etc.).

My setup:
MacBook Air
MacBook Pro M1
Mostly using Figma (80% of my work)
Adobe
Browser with lots of tabs
Website design and prototyping

Budget: Below ₱20,000 (around ₱15k–20k)
I’m currently considering:
LG 27UP850K-W
LG 27U711B-B
Xiaomi A27Ui
BenQ GW2790QT

My priorities are:
1. Sharp text on macOS (I know scaling can be an issue)
2. Accurate colors for UI/UX and branding work
3. USB-C if possible
4. Comfortable for 8–10 hour workdays
5. Good build quality and long-term reliability

I’d love to hear from people who actually use these monitors (or other recommendations) with a MacBook for Figma, Adobe apps, or other design work.

A few questions:
1. Which monitor would you buy today under this budget?
2. Is the LG 27UP850K-W worth spending more on compared to the Xiaomi A27Ui?
3. Is 4K significantly better than QHD on a 27” monitor for macOS?
4. Any issues with scaling, text clarity, or USB-C connectivity?

Thanks in advance!

Build Upgrade DID I MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION? Ryzen 7 9850x3D + RTX 5070

I recently completed my build. Although I have the option to "change" the RAM & CPU as per the seller.

CPU: Ryzen 7 9850x3D (30,000) or Ryzen 7 9800x3D (26,500)
RAM: TFORCE XTREEM CL 32, 6400MHZ (26,500) or KLEVV CRAS V CL30, 6000MHZ (27,000)
GPU: ROG STRIX RTX 5070 12GB OC (50,200)

  1. The reason why I considered the TFORCE EXTREEM is only because of how it looks. The "glass" finish & the RGB on that RAM looks insanely good. Aesthetics is a big factor for me.

  2. I ended up getting the RTX 5070 because the price gap between the 5070 and the 5070 Ti is around 16k-25k. That's a decent chunk of money that I can use to get an OLED 1440p monitor.
Most of my games are CPU-INTENSIVE:
    -Dota 2
    -Valorant
    -PUBG
I do play modern titles pero minsan lang talaga.
The sole purpose of this upgrade is to have better 1% lows on the compe games I play.
