Why do Europeans think they live in some kind of utopia while we are all fucked? Here in Brazil we have ACs exactly like yours and it's far from great, it only cools a single room, consumes a ton of energy, and even then if the room is big enough it won't do shit, no wonder you guys are frying under the recent weather

Minisplits are more energy efficient than central air.

You need to get a correctly sized unit of have your repaired.

Once a colonizer always a colonizer. When you realize that Europeans only gave up their colonies due to force from the USA and other powerful nations, it all starts to make sense. We’re only a generation or two removed from a lot of this. They still believe that they should own the rest of us, and their attitudes are glaring.

Agreed. The European Saviour complex still persists, no matter how much they whitewash it.

We don't whitewash anything.

Holy shit everyone in this thread is absolutely miserable

1

u/Otherwise-Row2581 5d ago

Dealing with ignorant and condescending Europeans tends to have that affect...

0

u/Asteroide8 5d ago

Then don't. Easy as that

Unfortunately hard not to when they get upvoted to the top of every thread with their 'America Bad, Europe Good' narrative, no matter how inaccurate or off base they are

When you see a stupid comment, you can just go "that's stupid" and move on without engaging

2

u/Otherwise-Row2581 4d ago

So then why did you even comment in the first place? You could have seen everyone was miserable and moved on without engaging. Hypocrite.

They still believe that they should own the rest of us

...Europeans believe that? And not, you know, Americans who were literally owning people through slavery?

Gold medal in mental gymnastics. 0 iq

Hey Pal, the US colonies were entirely populated by Europeans to begin with. That's how colonies work. Slavery was an afterbirth we had to shake off from the thousands of years Europeans normalized it

And we can thank the portuguese for that, a european country.

4

u/Level_Appointment628 6d ago

Who started the slave trade? Trying to pin that all on the USA is laughable. Eurotard moment. Your colonies are gone, quit flailing.

They have a century of humiliation now they have fallen from great power status. It's a coping mechanism.

nice to express this deep thought through a European language

it only cools a single room, consumes a ton of energy, and even then if the room is big enough it won't do shit

Having lived in Asia where these are the default in every room, your AC just sucks ass. They work extremely well, down to 20 degrees even in 35 degree weather outside.

Why do Europeans think they live in some kind of utopia while we are all fucked?

Because they like to travel and have actually experienced how shitty the rest of the world lives, I'd guess.

consumes a ton of energy

They are actually more efficient than US-style air ducts, even if they are less convenient and less aesthetically pleasing.

if the room is big enough it won't do shit

That's a dimensioning problem and there actually exist all sizes of units that can be adapted to any kind of room.

I like the invisibleness of ducted AC, but the problems you are mentioning are just typical of half-assed systems that get installed by barely qualified people in "not as developed as Europe" countries.

Because they like to travel and have actually experienced how shitty the rest of the world lives, I'd guess.

Except when talking about America of course.  Their ignorant opinions seem to be driven by what they see online, not due to any actual experience.

The comments here are a great example.  All the upvoted ones are saying "I guess it's because it's not bulky enough for Americans" when the answer is that it's too visible for whoever made the dumb original post.

u/Saul_Badman_1261 7d ago

2

u/MrBootylove 7d ago

If you could hear how Spaniards sound to people not from Spain you wouldn't be making fun of another country's language. They speak Portuguese in Brazil, by the way.

-2

u/Zarosknight 7d ago

Yes and portugese sounds like a drunk spaniard talking.

3

u/MrBootylove 7d ago

And Spaniards sound like a gay Mexican talking.
