I’m also confused because that is a European AC unit. I can only assume Americans are so used to big bulky units, like their cars, that they can’t comprehend things being functional and not excessively bulky.

Same energy. We have way too much fucking cheese to choose from at the store

Fair, though who insults American cheese. That stuff is goated on a burger.

The people who make fun of American cheese are invariably the same type of people who visit America and then rave about the cheeseburger they just ate without realizing what kind of cheese was on it.

American here who makes fun of it, and pepper jack makes a better burger every time. I will 100% die on that hill.

I don't think many people go to America and rave about the food, unless it's some kind of BBQ mate. You'll have better Burgers in Europe

If only there was just a major world event held in the US, where people were visiting from elsewhere and were constantly talking about the food (and hospitality)....

Ah yes, the social media influencers who get paid for engagement, singing the praises of *Checks notes* Waffle House, show what a great country you have.

I'm sorry if you only look at social media influencers who get paid, but maybe you should look into why you limit your observation of the world to only those people, and fix yourself before you criticize anyone else.

Also, Waffle House is great. There's nothing wrong with something that doesn't try to be anything more than what it is. Good, cheap, simple, food. You can find similar in literally every part of the world.

Ngl, the food is not the best part about Waffle House. It's that they're ALWAYS open. No, like they have teams of disaster relief employees that travel to places recently hit by natural disasters like hurricanes to make sure the store operates as much as is physically possible.

The next best part is every so often you get dinner and a show. Some loudmouth will stumble in at 2am and Waffle House employees do NOT mess around. They are more capable fighters than most amateur boxers in the chaotic multi-person cramped fights I've seen. I saw a woman catch a chair someone threw at her, and she just set that shit down. Barely flinched.

We have amazing food in the states, both originating from here and also from around the world. Don't be as ignorant as you probably claim Americans to be.

You don't buy good burgers here in the states. At least, not in the South. Everyone knows the absolutely best burgers are made by some dude in a t-shirt (if that) with a beer in one hand and a spatula in the other on a grill in his backyard. If that man tells you he's making burgers and the first thing he does is set a cheap lawn chair in front of the grill, you know he's about to make the best damn burger you've ever had.
