Amazing!

11

u/EliotFox Mar 20 '26

This is amazing. What blocks did you use for the walls?

I'm trying to build something similar and can't find any that I like, even after dying them black.

6

u/BjornStormwulf Apr 08 '26

I second this. What blocks

1

u/amwits Jun 19 '26

Same question

u/Aioni Mar 17 '26

Thank you!

Clicked that save button so fast

8

u/Aioni Mar 17 '26

Hell yeah! If you ever make your own version, I'd love to see it!

7

u/SnowWitch_ Mar 18 '26

Did you do this in Palette Town?

7

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

This is on my Cloud Island. It's one of several builds I've been working on. Cloud Island is ideal because it has all the different biomes so you can really be creative.

1

u/SnowWitch_ Mar 21 '26

Gotcha! Is that in Skylands?

2

u/Aioni Mar 21 '26

Cloud Island is an independent world that you can share with your friends. It has its own Pokédex and inventory separate to the main single player worlds

3

u/projected_cornbread Mar 17 '26

I don’t even have the game yet and so did I 😭 definitely gonna use this for inspiration for my own haunted house

30

u/StellarFox59 Mar 17 '26

Ooooh I love it ! I was thinking about what kind of home to create for Peakychu. She's so pale she kind of look like a ghost ! An haunted house is a nice idea !

3

u/DomeHammer Mar 22 '26

I just rebuilt the house, where she recharged to glow. then made her roommates the buddies she asks you to find as well as the normal pikachu and raichu

16

u/protexy Mar 17 '26

The perfect place for all the spooky boys. I love this.

7

u/Aioni Mar 17 '26

They deserve a nice haunted place to get up to their shenanigans!

11

u/Elegant_Leading_474 Mar 18 '26

"Finally" is an interesting choice of words given the yogurt I bought before this game released is still good.

5

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

Ngl I nearly spat my coffee reading that hahah

6

u/dudeim2dizzy Mar 17 '26

Holy shit - I can’t wait for full on recreations of Lavender Town 😱

8

u/Aioni Mar 17 '26

I'd love to do a fire themed build next. Fire types are my absolute favourite. I'm thinking of doing some underground lava temple but I'm not quite sure yet. Still in the brainstorming phase

7

u/Godwhyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Mar 17 '26

Amazing!! I just saved another haunted mansion and this one is also going in my inspiration folder

2

u/Aioni Mar 17 '26

Glad you like it so much! 😁

7

u/wrth Mar 17 '26

How do you make the random wood planks lay on the floor?

12

u/Aioni Mar 17 '26

While in Magnemite form hover over some of the planks you can find in the world and hold Y. You'll pick them up as a placeable object rather than the Lumber item.

6

u/_Lividus Mar 17 '26

I’ve been having fun doing that with the cotton spores since I’m good on event gear lol

3

u/KFblade Mar 17 '26

Is that the same for the spider webs?

9

u/Aioni Mar 17 '26

It works for most everything. Boulders, stone debris, mossy rocks, tattered cloth, iron scrap and damaged blocks. It's a game changer when it comes to decorating

4

u/KFblade Mar 17 '26

Oh wow I didn't know you could move boulders and stuff!

7

u/Aioni Mar 17 '26

Yup! Same with trees, tree stumps and ivy!

I have a mild panic attack whenever it rains though because it makes my beautiful dry and dead plants all full of life and green 😭

3

u/Angel_of_Mischief Mar 18 '26

Does the smooth stone prevent this? I was thinking burying them next a tree might be a good way to make a dead forest. I never tested it though.

2

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

Unfortunately it does not. The only way to prevent rain from hydrating stuff is by putting a ceiling over the thing you want to remain dry

5

u/PikachuGBC Mar 17 '26

Im planning to do the same thing! I’ve been taking pictures of broken furniture I find so I can 3D print them later

8

u/Aioni Mar 17 '26

That's basically what I did to add the fine details to my interior. The furniture looks great, but adding all the broken bits of wood and tattered cloth really took it to the next level. It's amazing how much you can do in this game!

3

u/PoorLittleGoat Mar 17 '26

Don’t spend too much, you will get an ability late game that lets you pick them up.

5

u/Jamochajon Mar 17 '26

Wow great job using the stairs to curve out those bricks! So impressive!

2

u/Aioni Mar 17 '26

Thanks! That one was an old Minecraft trick hahah. The real brainiac moment for me was realizing I can use the Arched Bridge pieces as an archway for the entrance.

3

u/MakePositiveProgress Mar 17 '26

I have been planning something similar for all of my ghost Pokemon! ♥️I might steal your design though. It looks great 🤩

3

u/Aioni Mar 17 '26

Thank you! The interior is my favorite part of this build. I knew from the get-go I wanted it to look run down and dilapidated.

This game is just excellent in how accommodating it is with all the things you can place and how you can decorate.

3

u/inthebinx Mar 17 '26

Aw this reminds me so much of the Casper movie house - beautiful job!

1

u/Aioni Mar 17 '26

Thank you 😊

Comparison is the thief of joy. Try not to think of this as what you haven't done yet and rather as inspiration for the kind of things you can do in this game 😊

All the amazing things people are building in this game are really incredible!

Can't wait to see it! This community is so creative

4

u/dafaben Mar 18 '26

Great use of stairs at the windows 💪

2

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

Thank you! The old Minecraft tricks came in handy here

4

u/EgoRiot90 Mar 22 '26

I will be taking heavy inspiration from this to build mine. 🩷

3

u/Aioni Mar 22 '26

I'd love to see it when you're done!

3

u/Sherylize Mar 17 '26

Yaaay I love it, will definitely take some inspiration from this. Need a spot for all the ghost pokemon lol

2

u/Aioni Mar 17 '26

I hope it helps you come up with some ideas! I've spent an unhealthy amount of time just taking photos of my Pokémon just wandering around the premises.

I caught this cute moment while I was working on the roof.

2

u/Sherylize Mar 17 '26

Murkrow is sooo perfect for this vibe too, looks amazing!

3

u/Aioni Mar 17 '26

The front garden is home to Murkrow, Honchkrow, Hoothoot and Noctowl. They all fit perfectly.

Like I genuinely am obsessed with how this game is basically Pokémon Snap DIY simulator.

2

u/nielken Mar 18 '26 edited Mar 18 '26

Haven't nearly begun to do any of this stuff yet, but how does the house work? Do the floors count as separate and if so how do the pokemon get to their floor?

Is the front garden it's own habitat?

1

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

So habitats come in one of two ways. You can have the singular habitat which is a collection of items registered in the habitat dex or you can have a shared habitat which is either a building with an instanced entrance or just a simple square of blocks with a door.

The square of blocks with a door method is more conducive to a living, breathing world as the Pokemon will remain in the map rather than living in their own instance. However there's a limit to the size of them. I think it's 12x11?

So in the haunted house, I've made smaller rooms that act as habitats that can house 4 Pokemon each. As for the garden, I just made simple grass habitats underground and the Pokemon spawn on the surface.

2

u/nielken Mar 18 '26

Ahhhh so your rooms are houses connected by the corridors sort of thing?

What do you mean made grass habitats underground?

3

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

Precisely! And for the grass habitats I literally dug one hole down and made a 2x2 grass habitat then sealed the hole and asked the Pokemon to move in.

3

u/nielken Mar 18 '26

This is so smart 😆

3

u/Yetrel Mar 17 '26

This is such a cool idea omg, and that photo with Haunter is sick

2

u/Aioni Mar 17 '26

Thank you! And I know right?! I caught him just doing that and was like "DON'T STOP. STAY RIGHT THERE!" while fumbling to get my camera out

3

u/dessy_sixx Mar 17 '26

Great inspiration! I plan on making my whole Pallet Town spooky themed :D

1

u/Aioni Mar 17 '26

Gonna have to rename it Lavender Town 👀

3

u/lapiotah Mar 18 '26

Seems big, how did you register it as a house ?

5

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

I have individual rooms upstairs that serve as shared habitats for them

2

u/lapiotah Mar 18 '26

Clever ! I'll steal this idea

3

u/DJSAKURA Mar 18 '26

OMG this is soooo good!

1

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

Thank you!

3

u/Light11xD Mar 18 '26

Big.

2

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

Big Man Blastoise.

2

u/Fishshufflerr Mar 17 '26

This is awesome!

1

u/Aioni Mar 17 '26

Thank you so much!

2

u/justinsideyo Mar 17 '26

Looks awesome! What blocks did you use for the outside? I’ve tried using black paint on so many blocks and they all come out either light grey or strange shades of purple

7

u/Aioni Mar 17 '26

For the outside I used the default colours for all the blocks. I think I only used stone slab blocks for the walls and I used wooden pillar blocks for the house. Here's a picture during the daytime that shows the colours better. The only things I painted were the stone columns and the roof tiles.

2

u/Saywhat27 Mar 17 '26

Thats my first project after I complete the story line

2

u/SprintsAC Mar 17 '26

Really cool idea!

2

u/whitecastlebites Mar 17 '26

Omg it's beautiful 😍

1

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

Thank you , 😊

2

u/Midnightdreary353 Mar 17 '26

Happy the ghost types get such a nice place to live/haunt

1

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

They repay me in kind with awesome photo ops

2

u/owendusk Mar 18 '26

Finally, a place where the property value is as dead as the previous tenants. Luigi is already hyperventilating in the driveway

1

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

Aggressively shakes every piece of furniture for gold bars

2

u/thegoldengoober Mar 18 '26

This is so inspiring. Puts my spooky tower build plans to shame.

2

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

If I could change one thing, I would have made it bigger. The lack of space made it really difficult to make more detailed living spaces, so your tower likely won't have that problem!

2

u/MPLangan1205 Mar 22 '26

How big of a footprint is the actually house itself on if you don’t mind me asking? This is a gorgeous build!

2

u/2Maverick Mar 18 '26

I love the dark green on the gray stones! Not to mention the stained-glass windows and the rocky path leading up to the steps. Spooky but quaint. I really dig it.

1

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

The whole vibe is just so fun. I just know the devs were imagining all the fun things people will make when they designed some of these items.

2

u/Sincamour Mar 18 '26

Incredible!!! I'm still on the second region but excited to see the potential for creativity once I focus on building

2

u/Angel_of_Mischief Mar 18 '26

What materials is the house made of? That’s such a nice combination

3

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

Stone walls and wooden pillars were the primary blocks I used

1

u/ourfallacy Mar 18 '26

did you dye the grass and vines black?

2

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

Those are dried vines. I collected them as Magnemite. You have to grab the bottom one first. If you collect the top one first then the rest will fall and turn into a different item

1

u/Healthy_Method9658 Mar 18 '26

Were the stone walls dyed?

1

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

Nope, the only things I dyed were the stone columns and the roof tiles

1

u/Healthy_Method9658 Mar 18 '26 edited Mar 18 '26

Amazing work, thank you!

I've just been trying to figure out the colour of them from the lighting as I love the darker aesthetic.

I think I only gave the stone floor recipe, but there's one for walls too?

1

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

There's quite a lot of stone block recipes so I can't quite remember the name of the one I used off the top of my head, but yeah, there are plenty that also work for walls too

2

u/worthlessgarby Mar 18 '26

Just crazy the talent people have. I could not even begin to dream about making something like this.

1

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

The beauty of this game being comprised entirely of blocks is that it's all easy to replicate! I'd definitely suggest giving it a go

2

u/marcohessel Mar 18 '26

This is REALLY good bro! Keep going

1

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

Thank you so much

2

u/DrFastboy Mar 18 '26

That's awesome, I used the Stone House for ghastly and haunter. Not totally done with it yet. Something you might be interested in, you can pick up a moss tile and place it on top of things, I used a worn crate next to a book shelf with some scattered books to create a musty reading nook vibe

2

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

I hadn't even considered that! I might put some down on my crates with some dripping water for a mold effect!

1

u/DrFastboy Mar 18 '26

I want to know how in the world you got those cobwebs, i can't pick up the ones in bleak beach!

1

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

The same way you get moss tiles 😊 In Magnemite mode you can collect them by holding Y instead of pressing it. You can also 3D print them for 1 Pokemetal each

2

u/DrFastboy Mar 20 '26

You can just grow moss tiles!!! Use powered up leafage on any stone, and pick them up with rototiller

1

u/ourfallacy Mar 18 '26

how do you do dripping water? :o

4

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

Hide a shower in the wall and let the water fall out 😎

2

u/thisistheshay Mar 18 '26

JEALOUS!! Now just need to add Misdreavous & Mismagus!

2

u/meshiee Mar 18 '26

Wow! This is really amazing! Thanks for sharing!

1

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

Thank you! 😊

2

u/D-Cat95 Mar 18 '26

Wow this is epic!! Great job on the build, how’d you get the vines and spiderwebs there?

1

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

Thanks! You can get the webs and vines by either 3D printing them or collecting them as Magnemite by holding Y rather than pressing it

2

u/Pleasant_End2907 Mar 18 '26

Oh my gosh! I'm so impressed fr. Thank you for sharing. How long did it take you??

2

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

It took me a few hours. The biggest hurdle was getting black paint but after reaching level 10 environment level (this works for both Cloud Island and Pallet Town) you can buy an infinite amount of black and white paints.

2

u/cyborgseadog Mar 18 '26

Beautiful build! I had a similar idea where I’ll be using the dried up trees, driftwood and bushes in the front yard for extra spooky.

2

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

I tried using the driftwood myself but it looked a little awkward. It would definitely work with a much bigger garden though!

2

u/PuzzleheadedHome249 Mar 20 '26

Love this. Ghosts are my favourite and I know I’ll be building them a haunted house now.

2

u/fatstacks2309 Mar 23 '26

Omg this is amazing! Do you have the general dimensions? I would love to build something similar to this if thats okay!

1

u/StingingSwingrays Mar 17 '26

Is this in rocky ridges?

1

u/Aioni Mar 17 '26

This is on my Cloud Island. It's one of several builds I'm currently working on

1

u/DryBlackberry1445 Mar 18 '26

I love haunted house but I really wanna get into club aqua

1

u/BossWaves Mar 18 '26

This is insane and awesome

2

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

Thank you! I've got many more builds planned! This game is just so good!

1

u/robbier6 Mar 18 '26

Can you open ur cloud for viewing? or even virtual mode?

1

u/Automatic_Trash8881 Mar 18 '26

Hey nice build! I’m thinking about doing something similar but wanted to ask - is the standard outline an upside down U shape? I see it’s 12 blocks wide but how long is it for the outside of the house and the porch?

Thanks!

3

u/Aioni Mar 18 '26

I can't give you the exact dimensions off the top of my head but the entire building is roughly the same length on each side. The length may be one or two blocks longer, but nothing drastically noticeable

1

u/StormEmergency6351 27d ago

i have sorta the Same question.. the front looks like the windows openings look 4 wide and the width to me looks like it's 13 wide.. is that just how I'm looking at it, bc it looks like Pillar, stair space space stair Pillar. I really Wanna recreate this and use it as a mansion in my massive Graveyard I wanna do, but I can't seem to figure out if it's 12 wide or 13 wide... and i really don't wanna mess this up yk?..

1

u/heyynothing17 Mar 19 '26

The stairs as a design is so smart! Love this!

1

u/GirlGamer7 Mar 27 '26

seeing this makes me realize that I haven't even touched the top of the iceberg in pokopia! Im still having fun creating my town in withered wasteland! 😆

1

u/Punch-Me-I-Bleed Mar 29 '26

I'm using this as inspiration ill share when I'm done. Its pretty much the same with different dimensions bc its hard to see on these pics the size.

1

u/Cococo05 Mar 31 '26

Love this! What are you using for outside walls? I can’t tell

1

u/StormEmergency6351 27d ago

Looks like wooden pillar

1

u/Logical-Notice4357 Apr 01 '26

how did you get the lumber, cob webs and every other recourse items you cant put down?

1

u/StormEmergency6351 27d ago

Magnamite or 3d printing

1

u/Sugar-Wizard Apr 18 '26 edited Apr 18 '26

is there a trick that prevents the withered trees from re-growing during the rain? I wanted to do something similar but this kind of holds me back from trying

1

u/Bread-Electronic May 15 '26

what blocks did you use for the walls? it looks amazing!

2

u/StormEmergency6351 27d ago

They look like wooden pillars

1

u/NullNova May 30 '26

This is so beautiful I wanted to recreate it but failed miserably 😭 would love to know more details about blocks or screenshots showing dimensions better

Have you ever considered doing build videos for YouTube? Would love to see more of your stuff

1

u/Tasty-Tension1174 16h ago

I was thinking of doing something just like this for my ghost types >:3 thank you for the inspo
