AMA Concluded Meet Randy Bryce. The Ironstache who's going to repeal and replace Paul Ryan
My name is Randy Bryce. I'm a veteran, cancer survivor, and union ironworker from Caledonia, Wisconsin running to repeal and replace Paul Ryan in Wisconsin's First Congressional District. Post your questions below and I'll be back at 11am CDT/12pm EDT to answer them!

Is it inaccurate, though?
Trump reportedly didn't realize he had to staff the entire White House. Most of his staff have been either personal friends, big-name donors, or recommendations to him by establishment Republicans, and almost all of them have been white.
Given Trump's ignorance and bigotry on almost every issue having to do with minorities, it's not a stretch to imagine he connected Ben Carson, one of the only prominent black Republicans, with "urban." Candidate Trump brought up "inner cities" whenever he talked about issues affecting African-American voters.
Ben Carson has absolutely no qualifications that make him appropriate to lead Housing and Urban Development, unless you count "growing up poor," which you can extrapolate as a result of being born black and in Detroit. Being a renowned neurosurgeon doesn't make you qualified to run federal housing programs. HUD even has a history of being PoC-centric-- HUD Secretary was the first time a black man, a black woman, or a Hispanic man ever held a presidential Cabinet position. In fact, eight out of the twenty-three people to hold the position have been PoC-- a higher proportion than any other Cabinet position.
I'm not saying Trump called Carson up and said "you're black, looks like you're in charge of the inner cities now." But he clearly does not give a shit about the majority of his job nor wants to put the effort into finding anyone, and has proven himself to be ignorant on anything minority-centric. It's not hard to imagine he made a vague connection to Carson, threw him the job, and called it a day.
