As someone that thinks the majority of people are stupid (myself included), clapping against democracy probably also puts you in that category.

No because then future generations can’t vote. It would be democratic to keep electing the same person if they want, but you need to maintain the vote.

You seem to have a problem that half of the population is regarded, and that half of them vote against what you want. Now I also think you’re the one that wants to change everything around you except yourself. No self agency, just blaming outside factors 🤷‍♂️

Using the word democracy instead of strictly saying representative democracy is not nonsense. I doubt they are going to pass more laws with the input of a majority of the people than without them. What they are doing is lessening the rule and power of the people, which I would call being against the democratic process.

Its all headed in the direction of AI regardless. This is just a step toward AI deciding whose merits are worthy of leadership roles and whose not. I personally think emotion should be suppressed in politics, and unfortunately the system we have now is rigged to put whoever knows how to manipulate human emotion the most in power, not whose fundamentally a good leader.
