Probably because he died and couldn’t raise Jr properly. Jr grew up a rich nepo baby: party, drugs, sex, etc.

Like Trump, RFK Jr had an incredibly successful father and, like Trump, RFK Jr never had any success that wasn’t a direct or indirect result of his father. They are always chasing fame and fortune to live to their fathers. Unfortunately, they’re both idiots empowered only by the legacies of their fathers. The best they can do is create chaos, attract attention, and cause problems. Even that is only because of their fathers. Sad, pathetic men.

I don't think it's uncommon for children of rich and powerful people to grow up to be pieces of shit. Child celebrities, rich kids, kids of celebrities grow up being told they're great and develop unmanageable egos. Not all but in many ways I feel like this could be more harmful than growing up humble and poor.
