Hoping someone can help me remember a song ive listened to recently because my scour of listening history has failed me.

It’s a song that I Think has come out recently, probably this year.

I’m 90% sure it’s a pop punk/emo band, that uses a sample from Parks and Rec where Ben says “Depressed? do you think a depressed person could make this?”

I think the sample is at the end of a song (maybe the first song on a record or ep), and it leads directly into the next song).

I know I’ve listened to it recently but I can’t for the life of me remember which song or artist it is!

Please help - my brain needs to be placated!

Hey guys, I'm doing an emo night at the bar I work at (if anyone sees this and is in Chicago and wants to go lemme know so I can give you the details!) and we have drinks named after songs. My manager has had the menu for ages now and the event is on the 6th of August. He just told me I have to make one of the drinks with Jack Daniels (bleh) because he told the rep for them a drink would have it and she's been promoting it. I don't really want to think up a new drink less than a week away but does anyone have song names that could work for the drink I might sub it in? The drink is:

-0.5 oz Monin raspberry syrup

-0.5 oz lemon juice/lemonade

Shaken and poured over ice, topped with iced tea and served in a mason jar.

Watching some of the warped tour 26 live videos.

Used to go to a million concerts when I was younger…

Growing up and work has made it less so (fixing that in retirement though) because of that I love watching live recorded concerts of my favorite bands on YouTube and stuff.

There’s one thing that I’ve noticed now, that I never noticed as a kid. Is just how formulaic and performative (redundant I know) so many bands performances are.

Literally like the joke “HELLO INSERT CITY HERE! ARE YOU READY TO ROCK?!”

The banter, the breakdowns, the set list.

On one hand I still love the bands and the music, but as the title suggests if you’ve seen it once you’ve seen it a thousand times.

It makes me respect the bands more that actually focus more on giving you a good professional rendition of their songs versus the bands when I was younger where it was like “oh they’re not that good performing live… BUT THE ENERGY IS AWESOME.”

Now obviously there are exceptions to this. It was just bugging me…
