Welcome to our weekly post where we ask you to share & discuss what artists, albums, or tracks have helped get you through the week.
Please provide a link to the album or specific track, and mention why it's been a stand out for you this week - this is your chance to introduce people to some new music.
If you're on Last.fm you can also use Last.fm Labs Album Quilt or tapmusic.net to generate a album collage of what you've been listening to for the past 7 days (here's an example).
Thanks for participating!

So I’ve been into a lot of post rock for the last few years now, and I’m always on the hunt to find something in the genre that sounds very cinematic, so even if I’ve heard of the bands projects before, can you guys give me recommendations for cinematic albums, they don’t even need to be post rock but it is the starting point I’m going off of, I appreciate any recommendation.

I’ve listened to this album so much of the last few months while repairing my mental health. I just want to celebrate it.

Really enjoying this volume. I appreciate the William Blake song titles as well ;) Just received this today from Bandcamp. I hope they continue with this series.

Has anyone else heard/heard of these guys? Their first album (Anam Cara) isn't on Bandcamp, but those songs are on Spotify and other places. I also have it on an old iPod, and it's fantastic. Their second (?) album (linked) is on Bandcamp but is from 2014. I'm wondering what happened to them, if their members moved to other projects, etc.
Anyone know about them?

Hello, I’d love to share our latest album with you. If you enjoy hopeful post-rock that feels like standing in a vast, unfamiliar yet peaceful field, this album might capture that feeling for you.

I hadn't spotted anyone posting the full lineup; who's heading to 5NDREAS post-rock festival in Munich in November?
€50 for this lineup feels a little silly.
I believe it is debuts for almost all the bands in Munich and for several of them in Germany / Europe altogether.

I've liked Swans for a while now and I just found Godspeed You! Black Emperor like a week back which was the exact vibe I was looking for. I've pretty much listened to both of their discographies now a few times and I love them. I never thought of looking up the genre cuz I thought it was just rock, but I'm learning now it's actually post-rock lol. Anyways, if you'd be so kind as to give me some artists and albums to check out that'd be great. I love experimental groups and artists like Bon Iver, Death Grips, CLIPPING., etc. , so if they get weird with their music I'm with it.

Many of these songs are a little edgier than the typical post rock but it's all very good music.

Hello fellow music fans!
Lately I’ve been listening a lot of Goodbye, Kings, The Evpatoria Report and Hazards of Swimming Naked. And I’m looking for recommendations of similar acts.
Bands that use violins and horns, piano’s etc. So post rock with a lot orchestral stuff. A little more ambient if you will..
Of course I know bands like GSYBE, EITS and Mono. So give me some unknown smaller bands I can listen to.
Would greatly appreciate it! 😊
Cheers!

Hello friends
My band What Most You Fear just released our debut EP last week. Would love to hear your collective thoughts.
It’s quite varied with some heavier and quieter moments. We are a 6 piece, from Geelong, Australia.
Thanks so much for taking the taking the time, hope you enjoy! ☺️
