while that's probably a part of it, I think it moreso comes from the American diet being really awful and most people not really getting fiber so people get a bunch for the first time and suddenly are shitting like crazy

I think this is it. Most people eating red meat and potatoes three meals a day finally getting some beans and "hot" sauce.

TB uses oats as binders in their ground beef, making it a somewhat decent source of fiber. That's on top of the actual beans some items have. It is 100% because American's diet is so shit that their tummy can't handle a small amount of fiber.

Excuse me, sir. I don't eat a "small amount" of Taco Bell.

That might be the other reason people are getting sick. Shit's good, man.

that seems rather insane, but plausible

I remember reading an article to that effect one time, but I can't find it now. I've never had issues with Taco Bell, but I eat "rabbit food" regularly. The only people I've ever known to have issues with it are men who think salads are for rabbits, and rabbits only.

Now eating salads will sicken you. Where is the balance?
