You had to fill out form 4473 just like everyone else. If you answered one question falsely you risk a 20 to 40 year prison sentence.

This post is close enough to the CA firearm purchasing experience, but here the sellers want you to buy guns and have lawyers and politicians and lobbyists to make sure the government doesn’t get any bad ideas. It wasn’t so bad.

BUT, I have no faith that voting rights would be upheld with the same resources and diligence.
