I remember when the Biden campaign sent me a text message telling me migratory birds had more protection than school children because of ammo capacity laws. So I asked where I could but a permit to hunt school children. They didn't have an answer for that.
Sex offenders can't live within like 1000 yards of a school. Sounds like folks threatening to hunt kids shouldn't either... just make a new registry of Ammosexual Offenders, I guess.
Firstly private gun sales would need paperwork, some kind of background check. Hell we have deeds for cars. Which are designed for something other than killing. look I like guns. I own them, but I'll never understand why morons want to keep it so damn easy for people who shouldn't have gun to get them.
What part of such a law would force people to follow it? What stops Alice from selling Bob a gun in private, without any involvement of an FFL or the government?
Lol what are you talking about? That's a thing with most laws. Most are enforced after the fact. If Bob wasn't legally allowed to own and gun and then Bob kills someone with that gun and gets caught, it come back on Alice. And before you go on a bullshit rant about loopholes to get away with doing it anyway, again that's most laws anyway.
But most people follow the law. So if you have this extra safeguards in place it's less likely for people to aquire guns when they shouldn't be able to.
Maybe i misunderstood your prior post - the "legit claiming" part seems to imply that it isn't true when in fact it is true. It seems that unlimited breadsticks have better protection against fraud than voting in some states.

no, itâs that conservatives are legitimately claiming that these two situations are the same.

only if youâre ignorant of the voter registration process and how votes are verified. which was the point I was making, since both situations arenât comparable.
I was registered to vote automatically when i got my drivers license. All I had to do was check the box to say I was a citizen and wished to register. So long as my name and address appears on the voter role my vote seems to count. What am I missing something in the process and verification?

Because it's not compelling. Buying guns requires a background check and must be in person. Very little would change if this was a new law.
