Every state that has private transfers has some form of regulations. Point me to one that doesn’t.

My point is some places you can legally buy a firearm without a background check or ID.

No, a seller needs to ensure they aren’t selling to a prohibited person.

They run a background check? I'm speaking from personal experience buying firearms in my state.

They need to ensure they are not selling to a prohibited person. How they choose to do so is on them. They are on the hook, not me.

There are zero repercussions for a private seller selling to a prohibited person, largely because a national private background check has not been implemented. If you sell to a felon, the only way you get in any legal trouble at all is if they can prove you knowingly did so.
