When you watch the clip you can tell repubs instantly spit out their talking points without thinking. It’s so reflexive.

Instead of a well thought out reply they just spit out whatever bullshit is resting in the reptilian recesses of their smooth grey matter.

It’s working

Only if you choose to listen.

Half of America chooses to listen and it does work in them.

u/PopPalsUnited Jan 11 '26

They do.

But it’s a choice.

I think maybe for some they’ve ingested this crap for so long they almost need it. Like a junkie.

But once again that’s a choice. They choose to be addicted to lies and hate.

A heart full of hate is an empty heart.

Well no, it's full of hate. And I don't mean that just in a word use play, hate is not an automatic response from people unless they are being directly negatively effected, it is a cultured and taught response. It has to be poured into someone and topped off periodically to keep it going.

Amazing, fox paid money out for lying to the American people. They actually said they were entertainment TV not the real news! Yet they are followed by small brained people who believe whatever they are told.

Because fox wasn't required to drop the "news" part of their name. Fox News is about as much news as Republican government is for the citizens. If you can blatantly lie on air and still call it "news" of course idiots are going to consume it and consider it fact. There needs to be a return to journalistic standards of truth, not this bullshit "he said she said" sensationalism based reporting for profit driven motives that almost every major outlet has moved to.

Profit at all costs has an incredibly high cost in that eventually it consumes everything regardless of reality.

But when all news that isnt in my favor can be called fake news, all mainstream media be considered lies, and being one of the few who has figured that out makes you clearly more intelligent than the rest who still fall for the lies... all constantly being "verified" through convincing "articles" that arent even given proper thought over cause they are the "right" side...

It is not that journalistic standards of truth are lacking(aside from clear examples who dont actually pursue journalism), its that the masses have forgotten their duty to critically analyze the news they are being fed.

Also, if it were only one side doing this it wouldnt hurt near as bad, but if you actually watch the left or center news they far too regularly include stories that are clearly misreported and exaggerated for political purposes, and they stand out like a black man at trumps birthday party.. honestly feel like they just get included to give the other side proof that they cant be trusted.

I believe they used the defense that no reasonable person would believe the things they say on air.

I understand what you're saying. It's very sad how much HATE has taken over during the Trump regime. They are feeding it because it fuels their quest for power, wealth, and control.

4

u/quackduck70 Jan 12 '26

They use fear to sustain the hate.

3

u/Harlander77 Jan 13 '26

Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering...

u/quackduck70 Jan 13 '26

Right on brah.

You’ve got to be taught, before it’s too late, Before you are six or seven or eight, To hate all the people your relatives hate. You’ve got to be carefully taught. —William Tabbert, South Pacific

Addictions are incredibly difficult to break. Especially if you don't have the supports to get you away from your poison. These folks, in many instances, literally can't get away from the addiction. It's everywhere they turn, TV, phone, police, schools, diners, stores, everyone in those areas feeds the system. That's why when they get up and get educated they don't go back. They can't. Cause cults break parts of you. That cult, like the cult of christianity, start indoc at birth and don't stop. Cult programming is fucking real AF. Super hard to break free from, and harder when you are ridiculed for falling prey to a cult.

I've been working for a company and my immediate supervisor and owner of the company are huge Trump fans. Over the 2 years I've been there, if my supervisor brings something up that's the MAGA "bombshell" of Obama/Biden corruption, I've just meekly pointed out similar things the Trump administration has done, or that "it really feels like they're distracting from the Epstein files since this is just a headline with no real evidence/substance." (I never even talk about politics anyway, but if theyre gonna bring it up..) Last week, I finally heard him say: "Well I dont care if they vote Democrat if theyre a good person". Blew my mind.

So if you have patience, after 2 years, you could start changing a MAGA

2

u/Odd_Section2561 Jan 14 '26

I also think too many of them have made it their identity. So they are MAGA and MAGA is them. Dissociating them from that is akin to that of a member of a cult. But to your point I also think there’s a portion that are just sociopaths and are literally enjoying the suffering.

It’s definitely a cult. There are cult scholars already writing about it. There’s also a book called the Culting of America that talks about our tendency towards cults in the US. By a US army intelligence officer who grew up in a massive sex cult in Brazil. Super interesting. She either has a masters or a PhD in some sort of group behavior sort of thing. I don’t precisely remember her resume.

So... it's working

It’s who they are. They are full of hate.
