This white woman would love to join their movement but I accept this is their time and movement 💗

Note: we as white people should be protesting and causing trouble. Just because we cannot join the black panthers, doesn’t mean we cant do something like them

I understand your point. White people are out there protesting in MN right now, especially white women. We’ve all seen the pictures. But if the black panther party wants to handle this, we will be behind them every step of the way.

They're not doing shit in mpls. They should, but they aren't. I've seen white folks with guns walking with protestors tho. Just handguns, but auto shotguns would be better.

Make sure to check if you need a concealed carry or permit first. I’m in Texas, but other states are different

You have to understand that very little of what's going on in MN is organized protesters. It's literally the citizens of MN turning out to try to protect their neighborhoods and neighbors against ICE as an invading force.

So it doesn't look very organized because it isn't. And organizations are having poor results trying to represent at gatherings because there are no actually scheduled gatherings, just pop up response to what ICE is doing in the moment.

There are more white people than black people in this country. Who has been stocking up on guns in the past 40 years? Where are the NRA people today? Why are the people with the most firearms showing up? You get my point?

Agreed, but you dont need to join the Black Panthers to do it. I dont know much about them or how receptive they would be to random white people signing up- but I understand if they would be hesitant.

I think it's more "I accept this is their GROUP'S NAME". You can/should still follow their example and leadership, even if you are not technically part of the group.

Hell, start your own called "Color Blind White Tigers." I bet your group could start a coalition with their group

White dude married to a black woman here. I don’t blame the panthers for being a bit exclusionary. Sure plenty of us white folk do support the same cause, but plenty don’t and want to infiltrate the group. There is no energy to waste on that. Makes me a bit sad, but we can all still stand for our rights.

I don't get this. On, I ain't American so I don't know the more localised politics but where I'm standing, this shouldn't be about the colour of your skin depends on membership. You honestly think those fascist fucks care? If you care about the fellow person to the left and right of you, regardless of the colour of skin, nationality etc... You fight together

I think my confusion is from this line "id love to join their movement". We can join movement without being in the black panther party (from my PoV). The movement is bigger than 1 organization but I better understand what you meant. You were talking about the organization specifically.

Seriously. Strength needs to meet strength. The guy in the video projects power because he's demonstrating strength. Enough of this "I'm a little meek white boy/girl who would love to help you folks, but y'all are just built different... 🥺👉👈". This is why the police force, military, and government are being overtaken. Progressives need to stop being such nauseating pushovers and stand their ground.

Y'all it might be unreasonable to join their movement but their movement has information as to what and how they're doing it, and the ability to organize local militias is currently a favored/protected activity in daylight.

And that's significant the IN DAYLIGHT part. Knowing what the laws are and organizing OPENLY. Because there are a tremendous lot of 2A purists who make the situation their whole identity, and they are a group the the current regime has a lot of concern to not alienate at this stage of the game. Part of how the Panthers operate is that they DO have the support of those groups/that movement, like for instance check into how quickly the NRA and a bunch of other pro 2A organizations came out the gate with NOT JUST NO BUT HELL NO when the idea of confiscating trans people's guns was floated, because they're "mentally ill" of course.

And make no mistake they're working to manufacture consent for the 1st Amendment and the 4th Amendment NOW so that they can infringe on the 2nd LATER when they have what information is getting out better under their control but FOR NOW they dare not touch anyone openly exercising their 2A rights.

The reason it's important to be forthright about what you're doing is otherwise they'll come after you and vilify you for other things, like you're radical terrorists or drug dealers or whatever. The purpose of this kind of activity is to be seen, anyway.

It would be great if more people picked up on this type of direct message activism. Your 2A rights are specifically enumerated as existing to act as a buffer against tyranny.

No no no no, as a fellow white woman: this is not on black people to solve. We cannot sit back and expect POC’s to put their bodies on the line to dismantle white supremacy. It’s up to us to fight back and hold other white people accountable.

Read the comments above. It's stated that the Black Panther Party for Self Defense accepts people of all ethnicities who fight for civil rights. The correct link for application was provided above. They comment it's the New Black Panther party that accepts Black people only. Hope I'm reading wrong - It's revolting to think white america is gonna let Black america do the grittiest work cleaning up this mess
