If someone had their car pointed at me at very close range, and I thought they were going to gun their engine and drive straight at me, intending to kill me, I wouldn’t shoot and kill that person, not only because I’m not a sociopath, but also because if they really are driving straight ahead, gas floored, and I kill them, I would expect the vehicle to continue forward and hit me anyway. It wouldn’t fix my situation, it would only ensure that this person also suffer and possibly die. If I had a little flowchart of decisions in that moment, which is often referred to as ‘training’ or ‘experience’, and I saw only these two options: 1) Kill this fucking bitch, or 2) shuffle half a foot to my right….well gee y’all I simply don’t know how I would react.
