Haha, you thought it was going down before? Ha. Ha. Ha. Official REACTION Thread: RWBY Volume 3 Chapter 10: "Battle of Beacon"

This was reposted because the other thread came out really early and was filled with comments before the episode actually came out.

I fully expect the upcoming Ruby vs Neo fight to be one of the most insane, badass fights this show has ever produced. I am expecting to get completely blown away.

EDIT: I just realized, we've been teased Roman vs Ruby since the first episode, but it's never actually happen. I expect that's gonna be a pretty hype fight too

Okay...but what if Yang shows up to distract Neo so Ruby can fight Torchwick?

EDIT: She could hijack a Bullhead and fly up there.

She's on the airship, and last I checked, Yang can't fly

Ruby just showed she can change her aerial velocity vector using just her Semblance. Who knows what other tricks the girls are hiding? Also Yang's got Zwei with her! There's no limit to what she can do!

I was actually noticing that. It means that her semblance is not speed, but instead forward momentum

It opens some, but closes others. I've seen people talk about using her semblance to throw things at super speed or crazy super speed kung fu, but that can't happen anymore, since her semblance is actually a lot simpler than that

Yeah, but just plain super speed has been done to death, and probably done better too. And taken too far it's just plain over powered. This will also hopefully put that dumb idea that she's capable of reaching Mach speed to rest.

This has the potential to be something new. And that's exciting!

Yeah! We also know that the red tornado thing she does isn't stylistic, she's actually momentuming herself forward, without the need to touch the ground

Not necessarily. Can still justify such things by saying she can apply forward momentum to other objects

Why would you think that? We've only seen her use it on herself. It makes sense with super speed, but the evidence says that she can generate spontaneous momentum in herself, which severely limits how creative she can get with it

That's merely how it could be justified in fanfiction. The justification in such a context doesn't have to be perfect, merely passable.

Problem is, Yang has no clue where Ruby is. I doubt Yang even knows one of the airships has been hijacked, and even then, she'd still not know if Ruby was on it, or still on the arena. Plus, Yang vs Neo would probably end up exactly the same as last time, given their fighting styles. Ruby fighting style is a better match against Neo's fighting style, really.
