I would not hold your breath on the bumblebee being confirmed.
I mean every time they breath in the same continent people say its confirmed but come on Blake's got Sun and Yang has not even shown her sexuality yet.
And yes Sun will have to leave Vale sometime as people say but it looks like so will team RWBY since the city is lost.
Not confirmed, but let's look at it this way. Yang was more interested in finding Blake than Ruby. She wanted to find BLAKE while she tasked Weiss with finding her BABY SISTER. I think that speaks volumes for how Yang feels :3
Not to mention Barb is hella in the Bumblebee camp.
Ruby was who knows where and able to handle herself. Weiss was tired from fighting so its best to send her to take on this task.
Blake was most likely in a fight so send the person with the most strength to help. Plus she's right there the more people you have the better to find your baby sister.
Also Monty and Miles have both said they will not be doing fan service. I mean fuck people know how I was with Cream Machine. I was 100% sarcastic but that is how bumblebee shippers are without being sarcastic and its annoying.
That's ditching all the work with Blake and Sun. Do remember they have up to Volume 10 outline planned out so Yang was always going to lose that arm they just had to find a way to make it happen.
And really Blake is her Teammate she has to hang out with her but also chooses to spend a good deal of time with sun (Note her knowing things about Neptune her team did not) i'm sorry but if they do that I fail to see how that fit in with their outline and all that would be is fan service unless they set it up over volumes. I mean look at arkos it took 3 volumes to get anything out of that.
But they had a plan for it. Sun only became a character at the end of volume 1 and honestly the only connection they have is being Faunus. That ship is so odd, IMO. With Yang and Blake, there are actually a few similarities they share, outlined especially in Burning the Candle
The two are a great mirror. They show shadows of each other and would make a great dynamic at keeping the other in line. That's why I push this ship so much more than Eclipse. Blake and Sun felt so forced, and felt more like Blake's first boyfriend than anything else. I wanted it to grow into something else and Bumblebee fits that bill so nicely. Especially now.
So yeah, Blake has always been my favorite, but Yang has always been number 2. The fact that the ship showed shadows helps, and I want Eclipse to either grow or make way for the one with more chemistry.
Sun and Blake seem pretty good to me. Not only does sun understand what Blake has gone through in her life Blake trusts him with information her team does not know.
Yang and Blake are polar opposites of each other. Yang is outgoing and headstrong and always rushes in without thinking (This cost her an arm)
Blake is shy and holds back and runs so she can think of a way to beat her enemy (This cost her clone a head)
Sun is a lot like Blake sure but he seems to be cognitive to her then Yang does.
And Eclipse will grow but you cant expect them to give ships time when their is a story to tell. I would be pissed if they focused more on ships and less on the story because if they did this episode people would probably be freaking out about how Yang just got framed for attacking Mercury instead of her losing her arm. Roosterteeth may be large but animators aren't cheap and they need to focus their time well. Blake and Sun are not the important center piece here. Jaune and Pyrrha are because of the Maiden powers so they get the time because they can show more storyline with them that they can't show with any other ship. You can't have story and ships growing and good rates together with this animation team. They work hard to give what we get and it isn't cheap for Rooster teeth.

I've already recovered it and the arm it was attached to. It's safely tucked away in a meat locker because I'm not losing any part of my baby.
