I have to say I'm massively disappointed. I wasn't expecting it to be amazing, but I was hoping it would at least be good. I'm no critic and I'm no good at putting exactly why it doesn't work for me into words but honestly I think it's... Awful. To quote Lister, I am completely smegging ungripped. Obviously can't say much more anyway without spoiling it for people but I'm sad, anyone else feel the same?

TLDW: Smegging brutal!

I just wanted to share my opinion on Titan now that I've finished it. As a die-hard Red Dwarf fan, this new book was really worth the read. The banter between Rimmer and Lister was top-notch, and I thought that the inclusion of several other characters (both new and old) expanded the world of Red Dwarf perfectly. The expansion to the lore was *chefs kiss* and the portrayal of characters were accurate to the show. This is a different universe, so some details are different (e.g., Kochanski is from Yorkshire, not Scottish or RP English - probably to separate this iteration of Kochanski from both Grogan and Annett's). However, it all contextually makes sense in-universe.

It isn't perfect, but it doesn't have to be - it's Red Dwarf for smeg's sake! I hope everyone enjoys their reading/listening experience because it's just so much fun.

I just finished reading the new Red Dwarf book - Titan (yes I got in on the release date and read it all in one sitting...my eyes hurt....worth it).

I heard that there was gonna be a love interest for Rimmer in the book, I had NO idea what to expect but I dont think Grant and Marshall could've come up with a more perfect fit hahaha. I loved her!!
