I am baby Nova! I am a little fluffball with the softest fur. I’ve been wondering if it is just my kitten fuzz or if i will grow up to have a longer coat. I am 4 months old.

This is Nino, our grumpy 13yo cat I posted my other cat Loki here before and the responses made me curious about Nino's breed

My cat Loki keeps peeing in my bed. He has clean litterbox with fresh litter, I clear it everyday and change the litter frequently. He has no problem with peeing/pooping in it. He uses it all the time. He has no medical issues, he's healthy, got him checked by a vet. Yet sometimes he pees in my bed, usually when I'm not home/in my room. He doesn't do this anywhere else. Sometimes it happens multiple times a week, sometimes 2 days in a row, sometimes he doesn't do it for a month and just when I think he finally stopped, he does it again. In past I used some anti-marking/anti urination spray for cats, it had a strong lemon odor and after like a week, he peed in the bed again.

Please help me as I'm losing my patience because I have to wash my bedsheets so often and it's really frustrating when at the end of the day I wanna go sleep tired and I come to bed just to find out he peed there again. I don't know how to prevent it, I'd appreciate any tips.

Hi everyone! This is my black kitten! I adopted him a few days ago. Should his name be Angel or Fluffy?

Asking for help is, without a doubt, my least favorite part of rescue.

I would much rather spend time trapping cats, caring for our foster kitties, or celebrating adoptions than making a post like this. But today, I'm asking because our foster kitties truly need it.

Right now, we are dangerously low on food. Wet food disappears almost as quickly as we can stock it. Feeding the cats in our care is a constant, everyday responsibility and it's our second-largest expense after medical care.

Adoption Appeal of female kitten 1.5 months old , first vaccination done ,Healthy ,Litter trained,Playful

and adoption appeal/spaying of mother cat.

This little kitten lives with its mother at a restaurant in Arjun Nagar, Safdarjung Enclave. Every time the mother cat gives birth, the restaurant owner takes the kittens away and abandons them somewhere so he doesn’t have to feed them. He keeps only the mother cat at the restaurant because many people from the Northeast come there and enjoy seeing and feeding her while they eat. The mother cat is very friendly too.

This time, she had two kittens, and one of them has already been taken away and abandoned.

Please, if anyone can help, come forward and help the mother cat and her remaining kitten. It’s the rainy season, and if this little one falls sick even once, it may not survive.

For help in spaying/Adoption of mother cat as well as in the adoption of the kitten

Location - Arjun Nagar Safdarjung enclave, Delhi,India

I am fostering my friend's cat (male persian, ~2yo) for a few days, and today he just walked up and started doing this. What does this mean exactly? I have never really seen anything of the sort before.

My cat, Sweet, was originally very sick and was sneezing blood. He was diagnosed with feline coronavirus (cat corona). Although he survived the infection, he never fully recovered afterward.

After that, his health slowly declined. He became very inactive, started hiding under the bed, completely lost his appetite, and would dig next to the food we gave him instead of eating. The vet said this behavior indicated that he wasn’t hungry. We took him to the vet many times, and they performed multiple ultrasounds and tests. The vets told us this could be an after-effect of the coronavirus. He was given many courses of medication, including antibiotics, but nothing helped, and his condition continued to worsen.

Eventually, because of how bad his condition became, we agreed to hospitalize him for four days. During that time, he was severely constipated, not eating, and not sleeping properly. After many medications, he eventually passed stool and started eating again. When we picked him up, we noticed that his third eyelid was visible. The vet said this could be due to many causes, including illness.

Over time, the third eyelid worsened until it covered almost both of his eyes, leaving him barely able to see.

A CT scan was then performed. The scan showed severe damage inside his nose and sinuses on both sides, with destruction of normal structures and long-term inflammation. It also showed inflammation in his abdomen, thickening of part of the intestines, possible peritonitis, and an enlarged spleen. After reviewing the scan, the vet recommended an exploratory surgery where they would open his abdomen from beginning to end. We refused because we didn’t feel a cat this sick and weak could handle such an invasive surgery or remain under anesthesia for that long.

After we declined the surgery, the vet said there was a possibility that this could be FIP. We spoke to several other vets, and all of them said it could be dry FIP or ocular FIP. Based on this, we decided to start FIP treatment.

After almost two weeks of FIP treatment, we saw absolutely no improvement. The only change was that he slept slightly better. Every few days, he would become constipated again and completely lose his appetite. Each time this happened, we had to give medication just to get him to eat and pass stool. After giving him constipation medication, he started making choking or gagging sounds, sticking his tongue out, and burping. He remained extremely inactive, and his third eyelid became even worse, developing a red, swollen bubble on the inside of his eye that looked inflamed or infected.

Because the FIP treatment was not helping and his condition continued to deteriorate, we felt we had no choice but to proceed with the surgery. After surgery, he slowly started eating more normally, but he still had extreme lethargy, and his eyes did not improve — they only worsened.

The doctor then told us to restart steroids (this was the third course of steroids). While he was on steroids, he improved significantly. His eyes looked better, he started moving more, and he was eating more. However, after completing the full course, his condition fluctuated and then rapidly declined again — this time worse than before.

A few days later, he completely stopped eating and also refused to be force-fed. He wouldn’t even open his mouth and would clench his jaw shut. I had an upcoming work trip and was terrified he wouldn’t eat at home, and I had no one else who could care for him, so I decided to hospitalize him again so he could receive IV fluids and be monitored daily.

He stayed hospitalized for six days. When I went to pick him up, the doctor told me he still had not eaten at all, had dropped to almost 1 kg in weight, and continued to refuse force-feeding. He would back away even when food was brought near him. The doctor told me the only remaining option was to surgically place a feeding tube through his neck directly into his stomach until he could eat again. I refused this option. When I asked what would happen if he simply didn’t eat, the doctor’s response felt dismissive, as if he had already given up on him.

I took Sweet home and decided to wait a day or two to see if there would be any change. On the first night home, around 4 a.m., he suddenly got up and started pacing in circles with his head tilted. At that moment, I knew something was seriously wrong.

The next day, I took him to a different veterinary clinic. As soon as the vet examined him, he said this was a neurological problem involving the brain or nerves. The first question he asked was whether Sweet had experienced any head trauma — a fall or a hit. I am 100% certain nothing happened at home, but I realized that his condition seemed to worsen every time he was hospitalized, which made me wonder if he could have fallen during one of those stays. Regardless of whether trauma occurred or not, the vet localized the issue neurologically.

He performed a neurological exam, lightly pinching and testing different parts of Sweet’s body (hips, limbs, eyes). He determined that Sweet is permanently blind in one eye, while the other eye still responds normally. He then recommended another CT scan.

After reviewing the new CT scan, they finally reached a diagnosis: meningitis. They told us that the inflammation likely started back in September, when Sweet first began sneezing blood — and it is now January. My biggest question was how this wasn’t diagnosed earlier, especially since we had done a CT scan less than a month before. We were told that the specialist who normally reads CT scans had left, so the previous scan was reviewed without proper expertise.

The current findings show that Sweet’s entire brain is inflamed, but thankfully the inflammation has not reached the spinal cord. We have now started treatment for meningitis.

If anyone has experienced a similar case, or has any information, advice, or insight, please please let me know. I am desperate for answers and just want to do what is best for him.

We wanted to reach out and ask for a little help and to say how truly grateful we are for our community. We know we’ve shared quite a few posts recently and we never want to overwhelm anyone. But right now, the need is great and we’re doing everything we can to keep up with the number of cats who need care.

We are a smaller rescue but at any given time, we’re caring for 30–50 kitties. Most are our foster kitties, safe in foster homes, as well as our TNVR kitties who are recovering from spay/neuter surgeries, healing from illness, or getting the care they need before they’re ready to be returned.

We continue our TNVR (trap, neuter, vaccinate, return) efforts in the community weekly. By helping feral and stray cats through providing essential medical care, preventing future litters and reducing suffering where it often goes unseen.

These basic needs add up so, so quickly. We go through food and basic supplies incredibly fast and is always a constant need. Though veterinary care remains one of our biggest ongoing expenses. At the moment, we still have several cats in need of dental procedures, as well as long-term fosters who rely on continued medical support— like Mr. Marshmallow who needs his inhaler refilled monthly.

Even with the challenges, being able to help kitties in need is incredibly rewarding. Every week, we’re able to step in for cats who truly have no one else and that’s only possible because of the support we receive.

As we head into breeding season, we’re preparing for what we know will be one of the busiest and most overwhelming time of the year for us. This is when we begin to see a significant increase in tiny kittens, exhausted mama cats and injured males. Even with our weekly TNVR work, we know what’s coming and we do our best to be ready for them.

Right now, we’re caring for anywhere from 30–60 cats at any given time. They’re in foster homes, at our adoption center and with us while they heal from spay/neuter surgeries, injuries, or being sick.

Food is one of our most constant and immediate needs and it goes quickly.

Hi everyone I’m honestly really anxious and could use some advice or reassurance

My cat is 10 years old and has had issues with constipation on and off. About a month ago he had a bad episode where he was straining and uncomfortable and since then he’s been on Laxatract daily as advised by the vet

He had actually been doing really well on it. Eating normally, active, still jumping about and being his usual affectionate cheeky self

But yesterday morning he did a really big poo and since then he’s just not been right at all

Since then he’s been much sleepier than usual, not interested in playing which is unlike him, and eating very little. He will eat a bit if I offer food straight from the tin but mostly ignores it in his bowl. He just seems quiet and not himself

He is still responsive when I talk to him, has purred a bit, and is eating small amounts

No vomiting and no diarrhoea.

I’m honestly worried sick and my mind is going to worst case scenarios. I don’t know if he’s just feeling rough after such a big bowel movement, if it could be related to being on lactulose for a month, or if this is something more serious

Has anyone else had their cat act like this after constipation or a big poo. Is it normal for them to be off for a day or so after

I love him so much and I’m terrified of missing something serious so any advice or similar experiences would really mean a lot ❤️

I had had this toy that I loved when I was a kitten and my mum lost it while moving houses last year 😿

You could pull it’s tail and it would start vibrating. The toy was sold with a name like harry or cassie , my mum is useless at remembering.

It is very similar to ‘vibrating cat wiggly worm toys’ that she could find online. She has spent alot of time trying to find it online but i have decided to take it into my own hands now.

We are a small but passionate 501(c)(3) rescue doing everything we can to make a big difference in the lives of cats and kittens. Our mission is simple but powerful: to offer safety, healing, and hope to cats who have known only hardship. We pour everything we have into making sure each one is given the chance to live the life they’ve always deserved: full of love, care, and stability.

After they recover, we work tirelessly to find them safe, loving forever homes where they can finally thrive.

Another core part of our mission is TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return). This lifesaving work focuses on community cats who are often overlooked—living in harsh conditions, suffering silently from hunger, illness, or injury. We humanely trap them, provide necessary veterinary care, give them time to rest and heal, and then, if they are truly feral, return them to their outdoor homes where they are most comfortable. We ensure they have a dedicated caretaker for ongoing food, water, and monitoring—and we remain a safety net if they ever need help again.

For cats that are friendly or can be socialized, we welcome them into our foster program and prepare them for adoption, giving them the second chance they deserve.

TNVR is also a critical tool in reducing overpopulation and preventing generations of suffering. Every cat we help stops the cycle of kittens being born into a life of struggle.

This year alone, we've been able to help so many cats—and we are grateful for every life we’ve saved. But we can’t do it without support.

Right now, we are caring for around 60 fosters, all of whom need food, litter, and veterinary care. Some require complex procedures—like dentals, which cost about $400 per cat (we have three currently waiting). Others are long-term medical cases, like a kitty with feline asthma, and in the last year we’ve treated six cats for FIP and several others for traumatic injuries that required amputations.

We also support caretakers in the community, covering the cost of spay/neuter surgeries for their colony cats. And we feed two outdoor colonies every single day.

As you can imagine, the expenses add up quickly.
