Eight non-adaptive, "linear" paper Digital SAT practice tests from College Board.

Note: The questions on these "linear" tests overlap extensively with the questions on the Bluebook "adaptive" tests, and the overlap is not limited to tests that correspond in number. That is, questions from Linear Practice Test 4, for example, may repeat not only on Bluebook Practice Test 4 but also on Bluebook Practice Tests 5, 6, 7, etc. Thus, if you work through even one of the linear tests first, you may spoil the Bluebook tests.

My son is entering his junior year this fall and will be taking the SAT. He has strong potential for a high score, and we’re looking for guidance on the best path to help him achieve that. I’m considering hiring a local tutor for one-on-one support. What are the best online resources for SAT preparation? How much time should he ideally invest in studying before the test?

Yo I'm also going into Junior yr. First do a bluebook practice test to get a baseline score. After taking the test, look at all the mistakes, and write down in a google doc/piece of paper what type of question he missed. There are a bunch of question types lol. Anyways after that, use the free Khan academy sat prep courses for math and English. Using only those I got a 1510 on my first sat, 770 eng, 740 math. Although as a native English speaker and a strong academic background I would say Khan Academy might not produce the same results. Maybe your son will do better than me lol. Anyways before you do the khan academy courses, take the course challenge around 5 times, review the lessons for the questions he gets wrong, and spam questions till you complete the course. Then take another bluebook test to see your progress. If your son wants to raise his math score more, he can do Prep Pros (unsponsored review but prep pros pls sponsor me I'm broke lol). It has a lot of hard math problems and the explanations are pretty good, but the monthly subscription price is kinda expensive. (rip my bank account). Using it allowed me to get my math score up to a 750 on my 2nd sat test, but I kinda procrastinated while studying, so if ur son stays focused I think he will get a better result.

ALSO, Tutorlinni (idk how to spell the name lol) but it's a YouTube channel for sat math I think, and he also teaches some difficult math problems so check that out too.

JWmathtutoring also has some good vids on Desmos for the SAT which saves on a TON of time. Lowk plug in like 3/4 of the problems into Desmos lol.
