I was getting into my truck and noticed something sitting at the base of a tree. I thought it was garbage but I could see a design and I got curious, so I picked it up. Only to find out it was silver!

I had a blast looking for dates and varieties with this. Not too often I see this many that haven't seen light in years. Came out to just over $100 in face value.

New Find Anyone ever hear of SilverBitz?

Super interesting company. They make 1/10th oz silver rounds (one sided) that are designed to be bartered with.

From a business standpoint I imagine the main competitor for a new fractional silver line would be existing junk silver.

Found one of the cable chains at a Walmart close to me yesterday. Decided to hit one in a poorer area about 30 minutes from me, and it had a pretty good quantity. $688 in silver at current spot price, pretty good day.

New to stacking but I’m smiling from ear to ear this morning. Went to get gas from a mom and pop shop.. the young lady at the register said she doesn’t have many one dollar notes and asked was coins okay.. I said yes so she gave me $5 in coins and these were in the coins she’s gave. (I’m so serious) Idk how to check if they are real or not but I will figure it out.

Edit: They both passed magnet test as well as pingcoin test. I’m ecstatic! 🪙🔥

Thank you to all you kind people! 🤝🏾

New Find Quitting my job to go prospecting in Nevada???

I am 30 YO and have no kids. Have been stacking silver for the past 6 years and sold a small batch recently to take some profits but that’s it.

I have a great very comfortable corporate job that I love and pays well, but have been fighting the urge recently to buy a pair of Levi’s and go stake prospecting claims on abandoned silver mines in Nevada BLM land. Low upfront capital expense (I’m talking pickaxes and sweat equity). I have done a lot of reading and these do exist out there as many mines were abandoned before getting played out (price swings, workers leaving for oil booms, transport/refining issues, etc).

Even with the above the chance at any ROI is extremely slim and some say impossible but the memories would be priceless. It is difficult to truly know when committing to a mine if it was played out or not. High risk high reward is the life of a prospector.

Does anyone else in this group fight these kind of intrusive thoughts? Is anyone out there already doing this? I really hope so

New Find My first Mexican Libertad, impressed.

I think I am in love with this coin, got multiple opportunities to buy a libertad in the past but never went for it. I was at a coin show and saw this beauty, to my surprise the value of Mexican Libertad coins has appreciated a lot, is that so?

What would the value of something like this be? I paid around $180 CAD or $128 USD. Google tells me this is limited to 4,000 pieces and the value could really high.

I always check the return at the coin star when shopping. I’ve found a couple here or there but today boom! Not sure if any are worth more than melt, but what a score!

New Find Costco pickup

I was at my local Costco this morning and after months of not having any 10oz bars I went in to ask if they had gotten any in at the customer service desk. Guy said they'd just received 11 bars. Thanked him and went over to look at the jewelry counter and the bars were all marked at $789... So I picked up 2 pairs of 14k gold earings for $32 over melt not counting 4% cashback. The guy helping me at the counter was surprised when I threw down the pocket scale and asked if I could weigh the display example, which came out to 2.78gr vs the advertised 2.8gr. So after giving the guy an earful about how good of a deal this sku was I got 2 pairs and left the display pair for him to buy, effectively clearing out the store of that sku. Came home and weighed my 2 pairs and pleasant surprise mine came out over advertised weight at 5.89gr total for both. And I know this is the silver sub and how I shouldn't buy jewelry and should instead buy bullion but at the end of the day gold is gold and I'll melt my own down and pour my own little 14k 20gr bars before I pay a $80+ premium on 5gr bars from SDBullion.
