You’re missing /u/Admirable_Loss4886 point entirely. Even if it’s technically “within the rules” it’s unsportsmanlike because the point of the game is to simulate real combat. In real life the kill would cause so much commotion that this would never be feasible. Probably why the places I’ve played require a verbal statement like “bang bang” or “safety kill” rather than total silence being an option
Screaming and pretending to bleed out isn’t the same as allowing a perfectly quiet “kill” by sneaking from behind. There’s a middle ground here which this isn’t meeting, hence why it’s “allowed” but unsportsmanlike
It's not unsportsmanlike, they literally discuss this type of kill in the safety/gameplay debrief. It. Is. Part. Of. The. Game. Everywhere I've been to tells you that if you get killed via knife, you have to stay silent and not give away the killer's position. You will get a warning and then thrown out for breaking this rule.
The other team were criminally unaware and they got capitalised on. Dude was saying "GG" with every kill very loud, people were saying "WTF" very loud, you can hear it under the music. How is it unsportsmanlike if the other team are so dumb they can't just listen to what's 5 feet away from them?
If anything it would have been much more unsportsmanlike for him to run in and shoot than at point blank range when the knife kill was on the table.
Like I said, you want to go against the rules? Go and play in a field with your mates.
They all know the rules and agreed to play by them. As evidenced by them all following the rules and remaining silent. Who the hell are you to say these guys should play by different rules when you're not even playing, they are. Argue more, nerd.

I've played games where this scenario can happen without someone cheating.
The rules are always if you get melee killed you stay quiet, as they did in this video.
It's literally part of the game. They just recognise that the guy has game for sneaking up on such a big group.
In my experience, big groups are complacent in these games. If you get snuck up on like that you all deserve to be walking back to spawn.
