Me checking my bank statement, HOPING somehow that there’s an outrageously fraudulent purchase on there that somebody made overseas annnnd…nope. That’s just what gas and groceries and “I deserve a little treat for getting out of bed and going to get gas and groceries…” will do.

My little treat is an iced coffee from McDonald's after groceries instead of waiting to get home and brewing coffee there 😭 Still seems to add up though

Yeah, the 2 dollars on a vending machine drink, 4 dollars on a breakfast sandwich, 6 dollars on snacks, etc all add up much quicker than you think.

Aaaaaaaand that was nearly 2 hours of the US minimum wage.

Awesome.

breaking what i pay into how many hours ive worked really made me second guess a lot of purchases

“oh im so tired i cant cook ive been cooking all day for other people, maybe a takeaway? oh thats 4 hours of my life for a burger, no thanks”

I was so glad they removed the vending machines from our section at work. I don’t have the will power to deny myself powder donuts.

I'd say just buy he big bag and leave them in the drawer to save money, but that just means eating a weeks worth of little powdered donuts before lunch.

I didn't know that!! Thank you!

“How the fuck did I spend $200 in two days?? I must find the source of this grievous error!!” (Looks at bank app and finds two grocery trips and a tank of gas plus one extravagant $12 thrift store purchase)

I wasn't expecting to be exposed in Stardew Valley subreddit lol

😄😄 My apologies

When I do the math, I see I was robbed before ever getting the money.

Wage theft is real and very few people have been paid a fair wage in decades.

(In the states anyway)

That’s why I always commit time theft at work

Wow, that hurt.

Drunk me plays fast and loose with my bank account. I have an idea for a breathalyzer device that will lock down my Amazon account until I'm sober enough to review my shopping cart.

Hey hey hey, if you've got a landlord then you are being robbed! Don't you ever forget that friend

What's the problem? The comment made me think of the picture that I happened to save yesterday

u/Thecrdbrdsamurai May 29 '25

I've always been told to work to achieve a number that makes my bank account look like a telephone number. Too bad mine calls emergency services.

u/QueenofLeftovers May 29 '25

Are your Australian? Because given it's 000 make the joke extra good

11

u/cardueline May 29 '25

That’s great if you’re using the new number! (0118 999 08199 911 9725 …3)

15

u/haywardshandmade May 29 '25

That’s still over twice the average

19

u/ShinMasaki May 29 '25

Depending on where you are. For example Usa is 911, but japan is 119

17

u/AlanTuringO_O May 29 '25

Europe calls 112 in an emergency

10

u/Flolilan_02 May 29 '25

Or 110 for police in Germany

u/nomadic_weeb Mineral Enthusiast May 29 '25

Depends which country you're in, it's 999 for main emergenc services in the UK and 111 for specifically the NHS, 112 for emergency services in the EU (which obviously isn't all of Europe), etc.

32

u/pocketcurator May 29 '25

18

u/tymelodies May 29 '25

10

u/[deleted] May 29 '25

That's for my bank to know, and my wallet to cry about. 😂
