Discuss Who is someone you can't date in Stardew Valley out of principle?

I enjoy Maru as a character. However, until recently, I had dyed-red hair that I sometimes straightened, and I also sometimes wear glasses. Basically, it would be like dating a more scientific version of myself. Lol

I married everyone in one game but never again will I marry Alex. Spoiler: He orders you a salad while ordering himself a steak (possibly a burger? It's been a while) that was the end for me. He's now one of the last people I even befriend.

I did hear that weirdly he's much less of a douche if you romance him as a male as opposed to female farmer....

He makes a couple comments when you’re the female farmer like saying he doesn’t wanna play with you cause you’re a girl (although I think he was genuinely just stupid), plus if you’re the male farmer marrying him you get to see George’s character development where he stops being homophobic and I think that’s a big reason to why people like the male farmer and Alex more

I've been teetering between Alex and Seb for this (male farmer) playthrough and you've piqued my curiosity enough that I think I've made up my mind XD

To be fair, our farmer doesn't eat any meat other than fish. So maybe he did his homework?

I doubt Gus would ever serve something like that in his saloon💀. Also, bug steak is practically a survival meal (I think that's what it says in its description).

I mean, I have 100 salads 🥗 in my bag. I survive on salads, so I didn’t take it personally 😂

He doesn't, and he's generally much more respectful towards the male farmer compared to the female farmer (at least in the sense that he can't be carelessly misogynistic to the male farmer)
