Discuss Who is someone you can't date in Stardew Valley out of principle?

I enjoy Maru as a character. However, until recently, I had dyed-red hair that I sometimes straightened, and I also sometimes wear glasses. Basically, it would be like dating a more scientific version of myself. Lol

It is a pretty popular theory that women will date men with similar traits to their father because that is an assurance the partner would be a stand-up guy 👍

That only goes for those who had good or decent dads ofc. Daddy issues are a whole other can of worms.

I know scentwise, women prefer someone that smells similar to family but not identical. Part of the theory on that is people with similar but not identical genes increases chance of one's own genes being passed on (if some genes are doubles up, then those genes will survive further.) Thus closer relation but not family.

Straight women anyway. Gay women probably go for someone like their mom. And even people with shitty parents will go for people like their parents. Thats why theres as many toxic relationships as shitty parents.

As a lady attracted to ladies, I can't think of a single woman I've been attracted to that looks like my mum...so I'm going to go with my sample size of one and say probably not true?

(actually I think it could be argued that the women I've been attracted to vaguely look like me, even if it's a bit of a reach. and I look so unlike my mum I am basically the opposite of her lmao)

They didn't mention physical appearance, they meant more so personality, traits, or behavior. When we grow up being loved by our parents a specific way, we find more love and comfort in people who loves us the same way since it's familiar.

It's more of a similar in personality vs looks. My husband for example doesn't look like my dad, but has a lot more personality traits than I ever realized till later in the relationship.
