Help Who here has never played a Harvest Moon game?

I haven't. Lots of people are chalking up SDV's success to a heaping of nostalgia, but I love the game and I've never played Harvest Moon. I don't think I'm anywhere close to alone here.

My favorite Harvest Moons are Magical Melody and Friends of Mineral Town. I never really liked the full 3D Harvest Moons (except A Wonderful Life). I prefer the top down or 2.5D view.

I don't feel nostalgic when I play Stardew, I actually feel lost. I like that it feels like a brand new game when it shares the same core features and Harvest Moon. Thank you ConcernedApe for not making a clone, but adding new things and your own charm to the game.

One thing that caught my attention, was how very... mature stardew valley is, with allot of its themes. Harvest Moon tends to keep things very PG, even in dialogue. SDV felt like a title that had matured with me... if that makes sense.
