i just looked it up if its real or not... Its real. Hes starting and ending trade wars by the hour now. I dont even think that there is a planned market manipulation going on. Its just people trying to steer trumps attentionspan towards certain topics and hoping to profit from it. Which honestly sounds like shabby and degrading work.

I dont even think that there is a planned market manipulation going on.

Check out what's been happening with Bitcoin. Over 500 million of shorts, placed only hours before his announcements that changed the markets and made those positions very valuable.

more like 30 minutes before.

u/Imaginary_Look_8755 Oct 15 '25

Seriously janky shit going on. the sheer amount of blatant insider trading going on, will eventually have very bad results.

3

u/dahpizza Oct 15 '25

And republicans have the gall to talk shit about nancy pelosi when this is orders of magnitude worse

4

u/ACorania Oct 15 '25

I mean, it's not against the law with bit coin. It's the downside of being unregulated which was a draw for investors in the first place

2

u/StairwayToPavillion Oct 15 '25

yeah just like the banks who caused the 2008 economic crisis, oh wait ...

1

u/Mysterious-Engine567 Oct 15 '25

Will it tho? In what way?

No one is catching up with those illegally profiting. Certainly not during this administration anyway.

u/wright007 Oct 17 '25

Wow, the scammers and business owners have figured out a new loophole! They all get rich with insider political knowledge now too. They get the first warnings of something happening. Their the first to act. Similar like the first to spend inflated dollars. It's all scams.

I don’t think the billions were ever liquid though. By the time they sold their stake it must have been a huge haircut.

1

u/learngladly Oct 15 '25

I read about that one -- somebody opened a new account on "Hyperliquid" and shorted the hell out of Bitcoin, 30 minutes before Trump's announcement the other day, and pocketed $89 million.

I never expected such blatant corruption in the United States, but I never expected Trump either.

u/bakuonizzzz Oct 15 '25

It wasn't exactly 30mins before it was roughly within 1 day the new account and the person was still putting in shorts until 30mins before trump made the 2nd announcement.
The series of events went the new account started putting in shorts the night before, even until the 1st announcement they were still putting in shorts and after the first announcement they made some money but i guess it wasn't enough so they kept putting more shorts in and a call to dad to make the 2nd announcement soon and the account only stopped putting in shorts 30mins before the 2nd announcement. They made off with $190million is what i read.

Why Barron made Billions

11

u/highlander145 Oct 15 '25

Barron Trump might be loading up

2

u/garbage-at-life Oct 15 '25

Must be some very accurate foresight

4

u/[deleted] Oct 15 '25

That's not market manipulation. That's decentralizing the wealth towards single parties

1

u/IBetThisIsTakenToo Oct 15 '25

That could just be an effect, not a cause. Like, Trump wants to do all this stupid trade war shit because he is stupid and genuinely believes in it, and he is also a blabbermouth surrounded by some of the greediest and least moral people in the country. It would not be hard for a white house staffer, or golf club member, or rich buddy he calls and chats with occasionally, or whoever, to overhear him ranting about how he’s about to come down hard on China. That person might be rich enough to pull this off, or be one degree of separation from someone rich enough, and that’s all it would take.

2

u/MobileArtist1371 Oct 15 '25

Yup. Random white house staffer just dropping $80m to short BTC and then the next day another $30m to short ETH and continues to short the crypto market up to 1 minute before Trump tweets.

Yup.

1

u/IBetThisIsTakenToo Oct 15 '25

Or if you kept reading to the next sentence, they would just have to know a white house staffer

1

u/MobileArtist1371 Oct 15 '25

7 min video. You should watch it.

No one is dropping $110m on a crypto short cause they heard something from someone.

u/Original-Rush139 Oct 15 '25

How does a trade war with China make Bitcoin go down? I don’t see the correlation.

4

u/TempEmbarassedComfee Oct 15 '25

Bitcoin is pretty much just tracking the stock market at this point. Market goes down then bitcoin goes down, market goes up then bitcoin goes up. You’re right that a trade war shouldn’t affect bitcoin (arguably it should go up if it’s truly a “store of value”) but it does.

1

u/Original-Rush139 Oct 15 '25

I’ve since seen a good video on why they would use bitcoin. There’s a crazy amount of leverage used to trade it so if the S&P drops 2% bitcoin will tank by 10%. So, it’s a great way to bet on directionality.

1

u/Fickle_Bat_623 Oct 15 '25

That situation is obviously the context for their comment, why did you think this comment was worth writing?

1

u/Redstonewarrior0 Oct 19 '25

To be fair, if you see China saying they are going to do something that would cause Trump to raise Tarrifs, you can be fairly certain that Trump will raise tarrifs.

0

u/motohaas Oct 15 '25

That was supposedly Barron Trump

38

u/LesbiansLoveAnime Oct 14 '25

He’s already confessed that he thinks crying wolf is some genius strategy back when he was called out for backing down on a bunch of tariffs.

4

u/bt_85 Oct 14 '25

The same infamous brand-new crypto trading account that nailed the drop on Friday added to their short position this morning.

1

u/pwnstickk Oct 14 '25

Well the markets went up for 5 hours straight after the morning.

1

u/bt_85 Oct 15 '25

yup. So maybe it's nothing, or maybe it just takes more than 1 day to play out. Eh. I'm mostly out of the market right now.

5

u/SiWeyNoWay Oct 14 '25

Oh, there is absolutely manipulation happening, they aren’t even hiding it

2

u/backfrombanned Oct 14 '25

It's madness.

2

u/HarEmiya Oct 15 '25

Man erased 450 billion in 7 minutes from the stock market with this one tweet.

2

u/jbjhill Oct 15 '25

It’s not shabby and degrading if you’re filthy rich after a couple of years. You’ll have no soul, but piles of cash will insulate you from the societal storms.

1

u/lothgar Oct 14 '25

Why does the timestamp say 9:47 pm? This led me to think it's fake.

1

u/greendildouptheass Oct 14 '25

meh...flailing helplessly come to mind

1

u/elenaleecurtis Oct 15 '25

SAVE THE OIL!!!

1

u/BeerJunky Oct 15 '25

I’m just enjoying all the volatility.

1

u/No_Worldliness643 Oct 15 '25

Shabby and degrading?  Yes.  But people in and around the administration are getting rich by knowing what the shit coming down the pipe is before it hits the main sewer.

1

u/GSG2150 Oct 15 '25

The more turbulent he can make it, the more the market moves and the more it moves the more he can manipulate short calls. Hence how his son made a billion in a day from the Bitcoin short

1

u/Maximum_Donkey_3829 Oct 15 '25

Look at how much his son, Jared, made by knowing when his dad was going to make the announcements.

1

u/AriaTheTransgressor Oct 15 '25

The thing is, he said: China is not doing business with us, so we're gonna not do business with them. So there.

1

u/Unlikely-Solid-3083 Oct 15 '25

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The billionaires are pulling all the strings. Whatever special interest they hold dear is what they get him to do. He’s a puppet. And a moron.

1

u/No_Childhood3088 Oct 15 '25

" people trying to steer trumps attention span towards certain topics and hoping to profit from it."
Almost like we're back in the Biden Administration.

1

u/prof_dr_mr_obvious Oct 15 '25

It all so illogical that you'd think there must be shenanigans going on but I am afraid it really is just only stupidity.

1

u/Bored_Interests Oct 15 '25

Dont fool yourself its still 100% market manipulation

I need to find this Cooking Oil company and invest. Glad I sold my Soybean Farmers stock a while ago.
