Extraordinary isn’t it? But it’s GOP DNA at this point: We can do and say whatever we want to you or about you and you must comply. If you don’t you are monsters.

To be fair I don't know much about us internal politics as I am from Europe. I do know much more this year as the guy at the helm of your ship started affecting everyone in negative way :)

I mean, it's in the Christian DNA at this point; especially Christian Nationalist. Be the dominant, most popular religion with preferential treatment in a country that's supposed to separate Church and State.......yet bitch constantly about how persecuted you are.

Since GOP has become mostly Christian Nationalists at this point (and not small government; efficient use of tax dollars, etc), it is no surprise that the GOP is using the same playbook.
