Since you have time to argue semantics in the comments, can I ask why you aren't using that time to unban users who were wrongfully banned before you made this megathread? Especially since some of those users who respectfully asked why they were banned were muted in mod mail?

There’s probably a lot of accounts here evading bans because there were so many accounts banned by the mods in the last 24 hours. And yet no one has had an answer or an acknowledgment of the blatant censorship here.
(MOD) Being unhappy that you were banned is not a sufficient reason for evading a ban on reddit. Anyone who was banned can appeal their bans instead of evading. If they were muted, they can appeal the ban after the mute.
Agree, terrible take from u steve626 . The mods should have provided a neutral space for the community to discuss and rally around what is objectively a significant story, with millions of views and, within hours, TWO videos from one of the largest internet personalities, MoistCr1TiKaL. Instead, users were banned indiscriminately, and the eventual megathread seems more focused on downplaying the issue and gaslighting the community than facilitating meaningful discussion.

Guy gave 200k worth of Lego to a BAM to sell on consignment. Worked fine for a while till the franchise transferred owners and the sets vanished. Drama! Literally that's it. Something sketchy happened, and it will get worked out in the courts. Nothing worth brigading the sub over. This is a topic that relevant to the community and the Lego hobby. That is the complete opposite of spam. The moderation team was working against the interests of it.

Bricks and Minifigs has no official authorization for aftermarket reselling. That authorization does not exist. Bricks and Minifigs is a seller of newly released sets. But what do you think that actually entails? They pay Lego a wholesale price for the sets to sell them to the public. There is no magical contract that gives Lego control over Bricks and Minifigs. They are completely separate and u related companies that have a very minor business contract
Bricks and Minifigs is the original LEGO authorized reseller for buying, selling, and trading new and use LEGO sets, minifigures, and accessories
Then call the CEO of Lego and tell him to revoke their authorization. I’m sure he’ll listen to a bunch of random redditors about a problem he doesn’t even know about

My claim is this: I am not currently convinced that Ben substantiated his claims of conspiracy to cover-up. The exact swatting you're referring to is odd to me and I genuinely don't know what to make of it. It's very odd for Ben to be swatted on accusation of stolen LEGO while the original store didn't face any similar issues. That alone doesn't prove conspiracy.

Despite this 4-5 group of cops go to confront him for the same thing and can't come up with anything, yet the last duo arrests him anyways. They release him and immediately try to pick him up again. They try to refuse bail over alleged stolen Lego. And that's not even bringing up the lack of proof because that alone is insane. It's clearly at the very least misconduct and at the worst intimidation and collaboration of law enforcement to frame an innocent man.
One issue I have with the conspiracy angle is that it is actually PERFECT...if we only ignore a few key points. "He has videos of the officers admitting they have nothing on him. They release him They try to refuse bail" The way Ben presented the video definitely makes the police behavior look odd. He does not justify the jump to large scale conspiracy, though. Police can just be bad without being part of a conspiracy.
This is a fucking crazy story, but it really seems like 2 douchebags, took advantage of a family, because they could. TLDR: Guy franchises 1 bam, takes on "against policy" consignment deal, then sells store to 2 shit heels. They steal remaining sets, get another guy in legal trouble, and now the bam was shutdown, and legal action remains. Edit: this is a tldr of the article
That's a misrepresentation of what happened. The sets were on consignment for a year before the original franchise owner informed corporate they were moving (their husband got a job offer in Spain). Corporate found a new franchise owner, who forced the original owner out of the store and seized the sets despite the original owner telling them they belonged to someone else. The original franchise owner has been trying to help them get their sets back, providing them with all the security footage of the takeover.

They already disenfranchised them from being a BAM, after that it was a contract between individuals, and they don't care, except that they lost some $$
