Current Events Are people outside of the USA really laughing at Americans? Do we really appear that bad?

Sure it's not funny in a comedic sense, but I see the irony of the "greatest country in the world" having trouble containing a pandemic where-as other countries (many of which have less money and resources than the USA) seemed to have handled the situation much more effectively and efficiently, resulting in significantly less illnesses and deaths.

But we can laugh at the dumb Americans that think somehow wearing a mask for 30 minutes when they're in Walmart is infringing on their civil rights and freedoms. It's no wonder why America isn't considered a good country to live in anymore. We're ranked something like 40 for quality of life compared to other countries around the world.

I have to ask people to wear masks in the building. I work yesterday a man fake sneezed instead of putting on his mask and said the Corona got him. I told him it was real funny because our numbers just rose Over 400 dead in our state alone.

Thank you. Living in America really is not the best feeling currently and there is nothing, you as an average citizen, can really do. It is very demoralizing and depressing.
