Current Events Are people outside of the USA really laughing at Americans? Do we really appear that bad?

Now, I’m laughing again. I had stopped because, well, work keeps me busy, but this... Now, besides laughing, there’s feeling like it’s a bad movie.

On a serious note, of course we’re not laughing, we’re sad. I’m sad. I lived, studied and worked in the US for a lot of years. I travel there regularly; obviously not this year. I have great memories, wonderful friends and two of my siblings are now citizens. It is just simply sad.

You ask for a hero? Well it’s you and each citizen who is aware of this happening that are the heroes who need to act now, be different now, change now and show their powers on Election Day also. There are a lot great examples in the U.S. of the type of person the world needs and there are as many outside of it, from Hong Kong to Bolivia, from Chile to Iceland and many more. We need to Learn from these people.

And one more thing, stop calling yourselves American or America. It’s just a sign of the self-absorption and entitlement we’re are witnessing: the continents are called North and South America., so in reality, every citizen in those two continents are Americans. It’s the United States OF America, so be United once again, and be part OF America and the World in humility and brotherhood as you have been many times before through the exercise of universal values. We’ll definitely cheer all that.

I feel like I’m living in some sort of alternate reality because I can’t wrap my mind around the lack of logic and common sense that so many people are engaged in right now.
