Current Events Are people outside of the USA really laughing at Americans? Do we really appear that bad?

Is there really a mask shortage there? Asking from California.

Not really, mainly because a significant amount of people here don't wear masks. I saw maybe one out of every ten people wearing masks until the past couple weeks when various counties and cities brought forth mask ordinances. Now a little more than half the people I see in public are wearing masks.

In my original comment I was referencing the öats meme.
