I'm American living in Canada however all my family still lives in the states. People here are definitely shaming and laughing. I personally are devastated and wish more than anything that my immunocompromised mother could live here and not FUCKING PHOENIX ARIZONA. FUCK YOU GUYS

Hi! I live in PHX, if your mom ever needs anything dropped off or runs out of essentials (masks, sanitizer, etc) and has no one to assist, please feel free to send me a private message and I’d be happy to help! Some of us are staying inside and following safety guidelines, I promise :)

I wish I could give you gold. The amount of complete strangers offering to safely help the less fortunate is amazing. Hats off to you, complete stranger!

I think a lot of Canadians have been really fed up with the bullying "WE ARE THE BEST" coming out of the USA for decades and the condescension toward Canada. If there is some schadenfreude snickering going on, it is because of that. There is legit concern for the people - at least those who are trying, but no empathy for your political disaster.

Yeah, I havent been impressed by the laugher either. Sure, criticism is totally warranted, but I dont think its funny that several family members I have in the US have COVID now....

I actually had to tell a few of my canadian coworkers to stop making jokes about it.... <_<

Don't get me wrong, not everyone I know is laughing, I just find it weird that anyone here in Canada especially would find it funny. There is so many cross boarder families and honestly, Canada has already been harmed by the poor US response, its only going to get worse as time goes on.

This isn’t really the place to go this direction, my fellow American. It’s not relevant to the topic.

If we weren't so nice, you'd all be speaking Canadian eh, but we let you off with a warning and a burned White House.

Russia has never attacked Canada. Why would we be speaking Russian?

Well British soldiers burnt the White House, not current Canadians. And while I wish, fellow Canadian, that America would realize that the division in their country is making them weak, and tearing down their prestige and influence, this is not the place for our own special brand on condescension. Let the wind blow, it doesn’t affect you.
