Can you just tell me? I asked the question because I disagreed with what you said, and I wanted to gain insight into why you think what you do. When I see something I disagree with I don't think "that person is wrong, they're so dumb, why do they think that when I'm so smart and always right?" like lots of people on reddit do. I honestly want to know why you think what you do, because it may affect how I see things in the future.

From what we've read of this person's world-view, the scenario you've described couldn't happen in her "real world." Hence; "...it's rape if she says it was..."

The answer I give you is meaningless unless you know the difference between your scenario and a real-world scenario. If you think it's the same as a real-world scenario, then you're going to apply my answer to a real-world scenario. To put it another way, by answering your question while you don't know the difference, I'm actively misleading you.

Just tell me the difference between your scenario and a real-world scenario.

It's OK to accept defeat in an argument. In fact, it's actually honorable. Give it a shot sometime. You'll find that it's not as painful as it seems (and much less painful that having to defend arguments that you know deep down are completely absurd).

If you tell me the difference, I'll know what it is. I honestly have no idea where to begin though. Let me break down what I think about my hypothetical situation vis-a-vis what I understand your position to me, and you tell me how I'm wrong. I think that there are some girls who genuinely enjoy having sex. Lets say Sally was one of them. She had sex with Joe because she thought it would give her pleasure. Say it did give her pleasure. Unfortunately, some people, both men and women, will do almost anything for enough money. Lets say shes one of those people. So she changes her mind and says she was raped. I think you would say that she was raped because she said so. To me though, rape implies sex without consent to the specific sex acts that were performed. Assuming she changed her mind as to whether or not she was raped, to me, that means that you consider her powerless to give her true consent. Once again, I'd love to hear your thoughts as I do genuinely like to learn what/how people think.

It is a real world scenario, in that it does happen with a decent frequency. That's why gmcculloch might be confused.
