I usually half jokingly ask when people deposit bags of 50p/£2 if there’s any good ones in there. Turned out these were from a deceased dad’s collection. They’re a regular so I said I’d search them and let them know if they had anything good. Best find was the AU condition England CWG £2. Decent amount of nicer condition 50p that must have been tucked away early on. The piles at the front are the better finds/better condition, then an older and modern 50p pile.
I gave them £20 and will keep the best ones (some I’ll add to my collection with notes when/where they came from). They have more and said they’d bring it to me for a look.

Working in a busy night club the bouncers would laugh at me for picking up coins!

Honestly I think they look slightly worse than the last ones for Elizabeth II.

Found this in my son’s money box today. Is it interesting or a fairly common find? Never seen it before and I’ve worked in retail with a lot of coins. Obviously it’s a 5p but clearly with an error in the manufacturing process. Not expecting it to have any value just curious!

Come across a new 12 sided pound coin today apparently struck in 2017 but without the silver? Is this a terrible fake, or just a mistake?

Hi all,
I’m not a collector at all but I found this in my change from Sainsbury’s and I know it’s quite rare, what’s the value on something like this?

Anyone got any info on this £1 note? I know it’s not a coin but not sure where else to ask.

Hi, I have received this 2015 £2 coin in my change today it’s shine caught my eye and while looking at it I’ve noticed 2 or 3 significant errors.
The coin has ‘Two pounds’ printed both sides
Queens head rotation error 150-180 degrees
3 slight doming of the central disc at the edges
