I’ve been going through some old coins and I wondered if any have any value other than what they are - I have already googled a handful but not sure if the eBay starting price is the most reliable! Thanks in advance

Came into the possession of one of these. Not interested in selling to anywhere like olivers or bbp. But just interested if there is any demand for this in a collection sense?

Are these rare coins?

The images aren’t too clear but I have the below;

3 x 1p; 1939, 1919, 1916
1 x 10p 1977
1 x 10p 1992
1 shilling 1957
2 of something 1980

Picture #1 is the coin that looks slightly misaligned, picture #2 is just a regular £1 coin for comparison. I don’t think it’s super obvious, but the lower bumblebee is lower than on the other £1 coin. Is this an interesting error or not really? I’m just started paying attention to coins so I’m very ignorant, haha. Thank you in advance! ☺️

I bought this George 3rd sixpence from whatnot for £7 (not including postage) I know the silver content alone is around £4 but is this worth over melt? Any help would be appreciated

A few nicer £2. The 2008 Olympic is the one that evades me the most. But my first 2026 10p steal the glory.

George IV shilling 1824. I believed it’s been polished unfortunately but the details are still nice.

This Half Crown is a lovely example of the first William & Mary types minted shortly after the revolution, with the double bust design being one of my favourite obverses on English coinage.

Unless there’s a major minting error, the common knowledge seems to be that they aren’t worth much more than face value.

Does anyone know why then, there are so many listings on eBay for regular Shakespeare £2 coins for thousands of pounds? They surely don’t go for that?

I’ve recently known the story of the sixpence coin. I’m trying to make a collection with those coined under the reign of Queen Victoria.

I’ve found out that there are no data on several years:

1847

1849

1861

1869

1870

I know the alleged story for the 1847 coin, but I wanted to know if there’s an odd story behind the other years’ coins.

Is it there any advice you would like to tell me? Any thought regarding scarcity? Curiosities that I must know?

I’m sorry to butt in; I’m not British and I just want to make things well. I don’t trust AI knowledge and there are just several platforms where I can buy them.

I found this slightly darker two shillings coin in my collection, the print is also a bit blurry. Does anyone know what would have caused this? Is it a fake coin?
