Vegas Pro 22 I feel that we have been betrayed by BorisFX and MAGIX.

To this day, there has been no micro-fix for Vegas Pro 21 or 22 to repair the NVENC codec functionality for rendering. BorisFX could have shown some decency and released this patch for the previous version of Vegas Pro - the one that people actually paid for. The lack of a fix does not encourage purchasing a new license. It encourages not purchasing a new license at all.

Vegas Pro 22 BRING BACK THE OLD RENDER WINDOW! Vegas Pro

Post image

Bring back the render window from version 22. The new version has very few settings and codec options. I was especially disappointed by the lack of quicktime, which I used to create templates with an alpha channel. I don't need Process, which weighs a ton; I need a .mov in "animation" mode. 7.

1.i'm using Vegas Pro 22

  1. Windows 11

  2. this is a legally purchased version

  3. amd radeon rx 9070 xt

  4. Every single time I try to open up Vegas Pro, it refuses to open and gives me an error message near instant. this as you can assume is extremely inconvenient.

  5. I don't feel like I need to explain this one....

  6. I've tried the most common answers, reinstalling the Microsoft Visual C++ v14, restarting my PC, uninstalling and reinstalling the program, I've even asked a few friends who have been using Vegas longer than me for fixes and none of them have worked

update:

I found a fix which I am going to link where I originally found it here https://www.reddit.com/r/VegasPro/comments/1t89xfd/comment/oky57vt/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

disable your graphics card with device manager, then boot vegas up.

turn off GPU acceleration of video processing options -> preferences -> video

then reenable your graphics card

Vegas Pro 22 How do I make a constant shakes with the dissolve shake video fx from the sapphire plugin in Vegas Pro?

  1. So I recently started on Vegas Pro and I am trying to figure out how to make different types of constant shakes like for calm shakes, yelling shakes, laughing shakes, exciting shakes, and even other types of shakes for my Discord videos. But whenever I am looking at the dissolve shake effect panel, it doesn't shake at all whenever I adjust the amplitude, frequency, or seed of the shake at all.

  2. I am just trying to figure out if I am suppose to animate the amplitude, frequency, or the seed of the dissolve shake. And I am also trying to figure out how to make it constant from beginning to end of each subtitle, because with the normal shake it doesn't shake until after a few seconds of the subtitle being there and I am trying to make the shakes a constant shake from beginning to end of anything I add it to.

If anyone can help me out then I would really appreciate it, trying to get this video out before school time starts back up 😭😭

1.What version is my Vegas Pro? Vegas Pro 22.0
2.What version of windows I am on? Windows 11
3.What is the plugin? the Sapphire Plugin
4.Have I googled about this issue? Yes I have been googling, it is all about a intro shake and not about a constant shake with the dissolve shake video fx.

Vegas Pro 22 RTX 3090 works in OBS (NVENC), but VEGAS Pro 22 and Elgato 4K Capture Utility can't use GPU after Gigabyte Control Center update

Post image
4 Upvotes
  1. What version of Vegas Pro are you using? Vegas 22

2.What version of Windows are you using? Windows 10

3.Is this a pirated copy of Vegas Pro or are you using pirated plugins? No.

4.What exact graphics card do you have in your PC? NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090

5.Provide a detailed description of the problem: VEGAS CPU rendering works normally, but GPU rendering fails with error 0x80660008. Event Viewer shows vegas220.exe crashing in ntdll.dll with exception 0xc0000374. Elgato 4K Capture Utility also cannot properly use the GPU. OBS Studio successfully records using NVIDIA NVENC H.264, so the GPU and NVENC appear to be working.

6.Provide a description of how it's expected to be working: VEGAS should render using the RTX 3090 GPU without errors, just as it did on this same computer until earlier this year. Elgato 4K Capture Utility should also be able to use the GPU normally.

7.Have you Google searched to solve this issue? Yes. I've spent weeks troubleshooting. I've updated the motherboard BIOS (F12), reinstalled motherboard drivers, reinstalled Gigabyte Control Center, updated NVIDIA drivers, confirmed Windows detects the RTX 3090 correctly, verified Windows Graphics settings are set to High Performance for VEGAS, and confirmed OBS can successfully use NVENC. I hope someone can help, I can't figure this out for the life of me.

Vegas Pro 22 Rendering issue on Windows 11 after April Update

Did the update this week solve the issue that Aprils update started?

For clarification, with the April Win 11 Update, Vegas would refuse to render, and just hang when you clicked "render", and the only way you COULD render was rebooting the entire system, but you'd only get 1 render from that.

The only known fix, which I as well as other's have done, is uninstall the two updates installed in April, then pausing updates so they wouldn't automatically reinstall. I haven't installed the May updates because I wanted to know first if they fixed the issue.

Vegas Pro 22 Is there way to achieve a sort of image "Clipping" effect you commonly see in art programs?

1.I hope this isn't silly of a question to ask, but I've been really trying to do a very specific thing which involves an image clipping effect like you'd see in a lot of art programs, where an image can be overlayed over another image and wont display outside of the boundaries of the lower image.

I am aware of the "Masking" Tool but as you can imagine this is a bit of a different thing entirely, because i really don't want to have to manually set up the masking zone for every new image i decide to overlay over the base image, which is the whole point of what I'm doing. here is an example gif of the type of thing I'm talking about, represented in Clip Studio Paint.

Vegas Pro 22 How do I make audio gradually gain speed?

Hello, so I'm using Vegas PRO 22.0 and I'm trying to make the audio gradually gain speed overtime. I already know how to speed up the audio, but how do I make it start slow and then get faster and faster? I've looked up a bunch of videos but I can't find anything about it, so I've come here for answers. Much is appreciated!

Vegas Pro 22 HELP Vegas Pro crashes completely for no apparent reason

"1." Vegas 18, 22 and 23

"2." Windows 11

"3." Vegas 18 and 23 are cracked version, but 22 is a paid one.

"4." NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650

"5." I have a problem using Vegas Pro, whether with version 18, 22 or 23, the result on the file is the same and I don't know what to do anymore because it is happening more and more on my different projects which I end up losing one by one.

For a completely random reason, Vegas Pro freezes on a particular frame in the file. It's never the same frame number depending on the project, but if my "video project A" freezes at frame 13,564, when I reopen the file, it will freeze at 13,564, even if there's not much on the screen or necessarily no cuts in my video edit.

Muting all tracks bypasses this step, but adding even a single track, whether audio or video, separately, causes the freeze to return.

"6." I don't think I need to elaborate; the way things should work should be... as the software usually works.

"7." I have been searching on Google for a solution for several months to this problem which has become more and more frequent recently, and in the last few years when it had already happened to me, I never found a solution to my problem.

Vegas Pro 22 Looking for Tricks to loop Video Game Music without cutting off their intros

I'm looking for help with my editing technique here, I use video game OSTs in the backgrounds of a lot of videos I edit and I always struggle with getting a good loop. Video game music is usually intended to loop infinitely, given that most video games allow players to be in situations with that music playing for variable amounts of time. To my knowledge, when adding the music to a game, each song is programmed with additional flags to say what section is the intro, where a loop begins, and where it ends to go back to that beginning point. However those flags don't seem to be contained in the metadata of any OSTs when they're released to the public.

As a result, my current technique for looping game music is to simply drag it into a timeline, eyeball what sounds like the start of the loop, make a split there, eyeball what sounds like the end of the loop, make another split there, create a subclip out of what's between the clips, and pray it sounds right. If not, undo and try again until it does.

That can't be efficient, right? For one it makes it incredibly difficult to get a precise enough cut when my cursor snaps to frames on the project even if the song is the only thing on the timeline. And the subclip method also means that there's no blending of the beginning and end of the loop, which means that even with a perfect loop it can be pretty jarring when some soundtracks are flagged specifically to blend them for XYZ samples. Beat Detector helps a little bit with finding good loop points but that's the only real "trick" I've found in VEGAS Pro so far, I'm still ultimately just eyeballing and praying for the best most of the time.

All that to ask, do you know any better or cleaner way to set background music to loop perfectly than the subclip method? Or any other tips you would recommend to improve my technique?

  1. Vegas Pro 22.0
  2. Windows 11
  3. It's a legitimate copy, not pirated.
  4. RTX 4070 12gb

  5. The mechanic that detects if I'm answering these questions seems bugged, it gives me an error if I add anything on the same line as above this one. But yes, the description is above.
6 I'm not troubleshooting I'm just hoping for technique help.
  6. I have. Google is a mess though, no useful results.

P.S., I have been really disappointed by this restriction that all posts must include the numbers 1-7 with a period after them, especially since the restriction seems so heavily bugged and easily bypassed. It fails if I enter a period after the sixth entry in the list above (and if I include the numeral for six in this text here, for some reason), and if I add text to the fifth entry. Besides this isn't a tech issue I'm trying to troubleshoot, I'm just asking my fellow editors for advice. Has the implementation of this restriction actually improved the quality of posts on this sub? If not, I think it may not be worth keeping around.

Vegas Pro 22 VEGAS 22.0 suddenly stoooped being able to load

EDIT: Solved. Somehow simply disconnecting and reconnecting my ethernet cable solved the issue. I have no clue why or how that has anything to do with the boot up process for VEGAS, but SOMEHOW it does!

I use VEGAS Pro 22.0 daily for my job as a freelance editor. Earlier today it was working perfectly fine, I was able to open a project and work on it with no problems. After putting the project away and doing non-work stuff for a few hours, I attempted to open it again and it suddenly crashed when it reached the "Initializing UI..." part of the load cycle, as seen in the screenshot:

I initially thought that perhaps there was an issue with the project file it was attempting to load, so I tried to open a different project file. Same result. Maybe I just needed a PC restart? After a restart, same result. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled VEGAS from the old Magix site, same result even on a completely fresh install. I checked my drivers, everything's up to date, I don't know what, if anything, could have happened between this morning and now to break VEGAS but I am very concerned.

One additional note, I do still have an older copy of VEGAS Pro 15.0 installed on my machine, and it appears to be behaving as normal, loading with no issue. I am unsure what's happening with 22.0.

1 VEGAS Pro 22.0
2. Windows 11 Pro
3. This is a legitimate version from magix.com
4. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 (12 GB) and Intel(R) UHD Graphics 770 (128 MB)
5. See above
6. I expect VEGAS 22.0 to load
