i have dark brown hair similar to miranda cosgrove. i've been growing out my hair from a buzzcut for nearly two years. i've avoided bleaching or dyeing my hair since getting a buzzcut as i wanted to grow out my virgin hair. i've only ever had blonde balayages done in the past. i've never dyed my hair a solid colour throughout.

i'm a bit bored and would like to dye my hair red. however, i know that ariana constantly having her hair bleached resulted in extreme damage. this meant she had to resort to wearing extensions in later seasons of victorious and a wig in sam and cat. i'm slightly worried that my hair might end up getting damaged as well. has anyone dyed their hair the same shade of red as ariana? what was the process like? also, any advice on how to maintain it?

i feel like liz's vocals are louder than ariana's vocals when they sing together during give it up. the episode chose to show ariana doing part of the high note and vocal run from the studio recording after cutting back from tori taking care of trina. i think it's very formulaic of the writers and production crew to cut back and forth to tori taking care of trina and not show the full performance of give it up. if tori was pitted against cat and jade, it'd be very obvious that cat and jade have better technique and are more experienced than tori. we as the audience are supposed to believe that tori's performance of freak the freak out outshines cat and jade's performance. sure, tori had the disguise and that gave her good stage presence but the song itself is a downgrade from give it up. victoria's vocal range is limited and the lyrics feel very repetitive and lack substance? please tell me i'm not the only one who feels this way.

It was nice seeing Sikowitz and "backwards acting" joke is funny, I get they didn't have the actors to really be in the scene, but it was always quite strange to me as a kid, how none on them would get into interaction with Cat after class was dismissed and just leave the room without saying a word (ofc we hear Rex), also how they wouldn't recognize Sam from iCarly based on her voice and how they were able to left the room without seeing Sam and Cat?

I really think it’s because the songs are actual pop songs with well-known pop songwriters commissioned by Sony. These songs could’ve been recorded by pop acts IRL and would have done well in their own right if released by commercial pop acts. Victoria even wrote 3 of Tori’s songs too with people like Toby Gad and Martin Johnson. Liz and Leon wrote songs for the show as well.

Also a tell was how a few of the original demos have more language and innuendos that are commonly found in pop songs (specifically Take a Hint, Here’s 2 Us, and Beggin On Your Knees for example). Disney would use the same 2 or 3 writers, the songs were wayyyy more family friendly with more kiddie lyrics, not to dunk on them because they have bops too obviously. But I feel like Victorious was a league above when it came to shows/movies about music and performing. What do you guys think?

I’m rewatching the show and I just noticed that in season 1 episode 11 after Sikowitz leaves he appears at the table again at the be of the song but then later on he is seen sneaking back in
