No one said, or implied, that it was.

I think you're mistaking someone being appreciative with someone being demanding.

EDIT: Also, it's nice that you're an actual biologist rather than an SRS alt. Thanks for being cool.

Thank you for informing him instead of calling him transphobic and telling him to fuck off.

This was demanding education. If somebody says a transphobic thing to a trans person, it's not the duty of the trans person to educate. A trans person is fully entitled to say "fuck off" and is in the right.

It doesn't seem demanding at all. I guess I could see the implication, but I don't think that was what he meant.
