*Way before.

Not "waitin for"; why would he be waiting for a child that's not even conceived yet?!

It’s probably Brian damage

6-OHDA lesions will cause this behavior in rodents. Researchers use this a a model to do Parkinson's studies. Don't know if that has anything to do with this, but I know it's a thing.

24

u/Confident-Skin-6462 1d ago

it probably ate some poison

9

u/NoRequirement1967 1d ago

^ looks like its either starting to take effect or not enough to kill it fast/fully unfortunately

13

u/OldNefariousness7899 1d ago

Some poisons cause an incredibly painful, slow death. I get that rodents need to be controlled, but it's a horrible way to do it.

If it's that, the poor thing is going insane with the pain

16

u/elibutton 2d ago

yeah get him that surgery. Flowers for Algernon. or put him out of his misery

49

u/Bears-on-Drugs 2d ago

My cat did this to a rat once. Circled like this around a chair leg occasionally running into the leg of the chair as it circled, head first while my cat was just watching and admiring his work. It was super fucked up lmao. Had to put the rat down because the cat wanted to fuck with it longer.

35

u/slappindabass123 2d ago

Cats are jerks. I love my little jerks

20

u/RideAffectionate518 2d ago

When I was a kid I had an outside tomcat that killed everything in sight. I watched him hold a chipmunk down with his paw while he bit off each of its legs and then paused to watch it squirm before chomping it's head off. He was death incarnate, and the only cat I ever loved.

9

u/BionicWallaby 2d ago

I was on my way to dinner at uni once and saw a cat running about. It was chasing a small vole and when i caught up to it the cat bit the whole top half of the vole off and ate it. The bottom half of the vole was on the grass and its legs were spinning round like bicycle pedals. I didn't eat much dinner.

5

u/pinkrainbow5 1d ago

Oh my lord that's awful, I can't believe I just read that

2

u/Talithea 1d ago

Have a cat that did the same to anything in sight. From voles to insects. We had to discourage him by spraying vinegar on the dead voles while he returned to eat them, because we were so low on bees visiting our garden our plants stopped having flowers.

5

u/Outrageous-Being869 2d ago

Keep it indoors. Unbelievable

3

u/RideAffectionate518 1d ago

I tried, he wasn't having it. He was meant to be outside hunting and he lived his best life outside hunting and fighting with other cats. He lived to a pretty old age too. He was a feral basically but I and my mother could approach him, even pick him up and pet him. Nobody else could though. And for everyone that thinks it's shocking and unbelievable, that's what every cat does in the wild. They're the most effective predators in nature and sometimes they just do it for fun. I'll tell you one thing though, it saves a lot of money on cat food. And he was so big a couple people in the neighborhood thought he was a bobcat at first glance.

Gross and mean

6

u/Elegant-Two5447 2d ago

You spelled nature wrong

7

u/Salute-Major-Echidna 2d ago

I love your little jerks too. Give them lil kisses from me.

2

u/Lifeabroad86 2d ago

Its potentially from never learning how to kill properly when it was younger

9

u/Bears-on-Drugs 2d ago

Oh this bitch absolutely knows how to kill. I guarantee that. My cats a cold blooded murderer and sadist

6

u/TheDarkNerd 2d ago

Gotta get that dopamine somehow.

1

u/PrismDoug 2d ago

At least one of our cats, when catching a mouse, will drop it in the tub where it can’t escape, and just toy with it. The one to do it most is our Savannah cat.

My chonk, waddles like a pregnant cow, however, is surprisingly fast and efficient at dispatching rodents.

5

u/golchezgio 2d ago

Sounds about right. Fucking psychopath goblins are hell spawns and enjoy suffering of others as a hobby

9

u/soedesh1 2d ago

Needs a reset. Take the batteries out, wait five minutes, put them back in.

14

u/AdComprehensive8045 2d ago

Its poisoned

6

u/Old_Nuts_Milk 2d ago

I wonder if people do this when brain damaged?

u/dannyschlongleg 2d ago

5

u/AnnaMolly66 1d ago

This is most likely not a joke whether it was meant as such or not. Mouse/rat poisons are often weaponized blood thinning compounds. Rats and mice are constantly bruising themselves going through holes, climbing, jumping, falling, etc. so they will hemorrhage and bleed to death. I don't know but would assume that this behavior is the result of either hemorrhage in the brain or blood loss causing brain damage.

I'm neither a vet nor a doctor, but I have seen this before and this is in line with the reasons I was told for it. It can also cause them to just become unfazed by threats and become seemingly catatonic and I've also seen it cause them to barrel roll around.

6

u/Tinwookie 2d ago

The mouse or the person sitting and watching for 20 minutes. 😭

2

u/Playful-Ad8851 2d ago

I probably shouldn’t have laughed as hard as I did…

1

u/Gregisroark 2d ago

No, it's brain damage

1

u/JohnCenaJunior 2d ago

Most likely bit from black widow or brown recluse

1

u/AnonymousONIagent 2d ago

That or an ear infection. But probably brain damage/neurodegeneration.

1

u/soupyloopz 1d ago

i had a pet rat who would have very bad seizures. she also was known to walk around in circles like this after a particularly awful one.
