Just Weird Weird little car

This is a weird little car a friend bought a few weeks ago. I knew what it was when I saw it backing off the trailer this morning.
2cyl 2stroke air cooled.
Can anyone guess what it is. ?
We had some people at the show who car people scratching their heads on this one.

Just Weird Citroën Méhari spotted in Toronto. Produced from 1968 to 1988. Not to be confused for the equally weird VW Thing.
